Do you hate cutting your finger or toe nails?

My son (HFA) hates having his nails cut! He thinks it feels horrible afterwards. Bribing only partially helps.

I like cutting my nails! I cut them with nail clippers but never bother to make the edge smooth with anything.
In fact, I can't stand long nails because I'm afraid of it bending and eventually hurting my fingers (Though I know it's not remotely possible).

Nail-biting is one of my stims, so there's rarely much left to cut. I hate filing them, so I just even them out with nail clippers when they get so jagged that I'm accidentally scratching myself with them.

Hated having nails cut. Only do it when really have to. As a kid I would run and hide when I saw nail clippers.

I bite my toenails off

I generally bite or tear my fingernails off and tear my toenails off with my talon-fingernails. I like to keep my nails long, not only for giving backskritches but also because if I cut them it feels like I'm missing the top digit of each finger and I can't use my hands for a couple days.

Don't hate the act of cutting, though. Just never remembered to do it, and now like having claws.

I end up peeling them off with my opposite hand's nails.

One of my sons bites his off himself, but the other does not bite them and absolutely hates having them clipped. I had to clip them earlier today, and there were a lot of tears before and after. He says having it done makes him feel "weak", but it has to be done, at least occasionally. I know biting your nails is supposed to be a bad habit, but I kind of wish he would.

And I can't stand filing my nails. *shudder* It makes me feel so sick. So I understand where the little guy is coming from.
