Jillian,
So awful that your son saw this! Disturbing images are just that--disturbing.
It's too bad there wasn't a seperate forum for AS teenagers to post on. I don't know of any--but maybe somewhere?
That's the first time I've come across that type of revolting image on this forum.

That picture was truly disgusting, thank God that sick pervert was banned.
Here's the reality of the situation as I understand it...
Wrong Planet is not hard to join.
You create an account and start posting.
Having 'special' forums for different people, ages, etc. is going to do nothing.
This is the internet we're talking about... anyone can be anyone, any age, anything.
Augustus2 could be back anytime... just under a different account. This person could already have several accounts.
Banning that one username will not stop anyone who wants to continue this type of behaviour on this site or others.
The next step to secure this website as I see it would be to have it a closed site.
You request permission to join, receive permission, then you're allowed to post.
If you break the rules... you suffer the consequences, whatever they may be.
Now, of course, if you get banned, you do a bit of work and come back as a different person and start all over again without anyone realizing it until they recognize your behavior.
What I'm trying to get across to you all is that other than locking this site down to only accept people Alex knows personally... there's no way to keep someone like Augustus2 from coming here and disrupting things.
Personally, I want some legal recourse against this person for posting that picture in a child's forum.
I take this seriously when children are involved.
I think it is Alex's responsibility to seek legal assistance when and where possible.
I'm not sure what legal avenues are available.
The FBI?
This person's local law enforcement chief?
Banning will prove to be nothing more than a bandaid... and a bad one at that!
