I was raised as a Southern Baptist. Here in Oklahoma, it's the largest denomination. It was alright as a kid and youth I guess (camps, cookouts, roller skating, etc.) I always met a bunch of hot chicks at church camp :D I stopped going to church in college and got married my senior year in college. My father in law and grandfather in law were deacons so I decided to start going again and give it another shot. However, I found that most of the people in church are judgemental, intolerant, and hypocritical to the core. The final straw for me was our sunday school men's group all agreed to read the entire bible in a year in 2006. Out of 30 guys, I was the only one to keep up past March and read it all the way through. There were so many contradictions and ridiculous claims that I never knew before. Things that were never preached from the pulpit. Weird I know, but reading the entire bible made me Agnostic. No offense to those who believe, but I am way too logical to literally believe in the Bible. I still go occasionally with the wife and kids to church. The extreme fakeness of people at church just drives me crazy. People all dressed up in their best clothes and fake smiles acting like they give a damn about each other. Most are jealous of each other's houses, cars, clothes, etc.

I wasn't really raised in any religion because my dad is a recovering Catholic, and my mom was Catholic Lite, otherwise known as Episcopalian. I don't go to church unless it's for a family thing such as a wedding, funeral, or a baby's baptism. I consider myself agnostic because I don't think it's logical to believe that there's only one true church.

I was forced into christanity. My brother and I where pushed and pulled to church by our mom. Our dad only went to keep mom happy, he debated religion more then I do.

Church was boring, that was all I can say. One of the ministers we had was a real depressing person. It was a married couple, the man was the happiest guy in the world, the woman I sware was emo. On one night service the power went out and it was completly dark, everone was silent.

The woman says 'the darkenss.... it can remind us of what can happen to us someday'

My pastor that led us thru confirmation quit to become a drug-dealer (pharmacy). The following one was cool but he quit too. I think he was gay (tho never inapproprate, he should have stayed).

I envy those of you who can have faith.
