A huge percent of these are not signs of AS at all. Everyone loves bubble wrap, clothes that feel good... lots of people laugh when people fall. So many of the things you guys think are weird and specific to AS are far from it.

My male e-friends tell me I have waay too many emoticons, for about everything. I mean, why should I *type an action between asterisks* if I can use an emoticon (image) for it instead? Lawl.

You invented fictional characters from countries other than your own. (I wrote stories about people from Japan, Spain, Greece, Finland. Ukraine and Ethiopia, to name just a few. I think it has something to do with my obsession with the Olympic Games.)

Your characters all had cats, too.

I am terrible at multitasking. I like to do one thing very well, and move on to the next task. I hate the term "multitasking" to begin with.

....if you've broken anyone's stuffed toys by overuse.

...if at a party, you immediately retreat to scrolling through your friends iTunes playlist and playing whatever the hell you want to hear 12 times in a row!

...if your teacher tells you some wrong information, you have to try your best to not blurt out the right answer.

....if you know someone's feeding you wrong information, you start to tune them out.

YMBAI....
-you work through lunch because you 'zone out' on your current task
-you notice alpha/numeric patterns / palindromes everywhere
-you recognise the brand and model of tyres by the tread pattern
-you know how old you are in days (14,036 today)
-you consider everyone else weird/ovine

ymbaai...

at work:

....You go out to the smoking area and as soon as you light up, everyone else leaves.

....You have lots of wonderful ideas to improve your job/products at work, but no one cares.

....You hate having to bring a dish for the company lunch/potluck, so you bring in a stale, store-bought cake. The ploy is so successful that they ask you to never participate again.

...You make a list of the way you spend your waking hours, and your special interest takes up more than twice the time of the leading runner-up.

(I did. And it does.)

Extra points if you include sleep and this is still true...

You might be an aspie if

You find abbreviating you might be an aspie if (ymbaai) as annoying as you once found abbreviating laughing out loud and it just takes a little longer to get used to it before it no longer annoys you.

Others curl up their lip at you like Elvis anytime you have something to say and then you feel like going back into your own world because others can't handle your "deep" realistic words.

If you do look at someone in the eyes for the first time, they get freaked out and request that you stop. You are freaking them out.

When abiding by other people's rules (when you try), it never works out. Others scold you and you feel like you should have just did it your way from the start.

You might be an aspie if...

...your nickname as a child was 'Actually' because you used the word so often.

...you make lists of lists you have to make.

...you feel creeped out when you hear the door of your office building because it means people you only vaguely know might be heading towards your office.

...you spend parties surreptitiously going through the party-thrower's bookshelves seeing if they have anything interesting.

...you're female, and clothes shopping is not a girlie bonding experience but a living nightmare from which you cannot wait to escape. Ditto 'spa days' or anything other combination of appearance-related stuff and small chit-chat.

...you can remember obscure medical terms (Meckel's diverticulum, anyone?) more easily than you can remember the names of some of your work colleagues (say, who's that guy I see every morning again?).

...you have ever used the expression 'all peopled out'.

LOL! Yes! Also:

....if you think pep rallies were the invention of medieval torturers
....if you have learned your best social skills by playing The Sims 2
....if you have dried your eyes out by staring at water in the sun or your ceiling fan
....if you ever wrapped Christmas gifts for your stuffed animals
