Here is how to help spread the word of WrongPlanet.net without needing to spend any money!! !! !!

If you post on any other website of any topic (doesn't need to be Asperger's related), put a clickable link to WrongPlanet in your signature.

The text of the link should contain the word "aspergers" or "asperger" or "asperger's" or "asperger's syndrome" or "aspergers autism" or "autism" or "aspergers forum" or "aspergers community" or a combination of these.

The more links to wrongplanet that have the word "aspergers" in the title, the more likely wrongplanet will be closer to the top of the google results for the "aspergers" query. But google likes it if there is variation in link titles on diff sites so vary the link titles just a little bit if you post on more than 1 other forum.

Will do. But I don't see how it will help, seeing as how the only sites I frequent are here and a private community with about 10 members...

If I remember correctly, Google ranks searches by how often other sites link to them, so if everyone puts links to this site somewhere, then it will be listed father up in the search results, making it easier for people to find. (personally I found this site through wikipedia)

I have technological deficits. Could someone explain how to do this, at a grade-school level, please, so I can try this?

I've told a few people. I saw this one person with an autistic RP character on another site, so I asked her if she was on the spectrum and sent her the link to WP. That was pretty cool...

I think I found this site through a google search for "autism forums" or something like that. It was a long time ago.

Every click is money for Wrong Planet. As no one, myself included, PAYS for this site, and it's one of the best sites on the internet for people with Asperger's, well....seems like a no-brainer. But then, I don't have any brains anyway, so there ya are.

I think Ridgerider wants evidence to show that the extra traffic is helping improve WP instead of buying Alex a house in Bermuda.

And yes, I'm adding the link to all my sigs. I'm on several automotive forums.

I figured out an easy way: I added the link Alex posted to my outgoing email signature. By the way, Alex, have I told you lately that you rock? And if you ever want professional photos done again, come on over to Hawaii and we'll do them for free.
