I relate strongly to many of the songs listed. I have been a Pink Floyd fan for decades. Creep by Radiohead, Iris by Goo Goo Dolls, People are Strange by the Doors, and Basketcase by Green Day are four songs I have a strong connection with.

I have all of these on my iPOD and these songs would be some of the first that come to mind.

My nomination is Kristofer Astrom's "Just A Little Insane"... I can realte to this much, as I've grown from hating my town to hating my country to hating the world when I realized things are the same anywhere else... people die for no reason, there are still very few places I'm even allowed to get married and it's dead sure I won't because I'll never find anyone, and yes, "I feed on broken dreams alot".

Drowning Pool, Tear Away
"Pieces are falling, I can't seem to make them stay. Hope there's a reason for questions unanswered. I just can't see everything." "everything happens for reasons I just don't know." These quotes sound confused, as if the speaker can only see things from his own perspective and can't understand exactly why his life is coming apart. It sounds like it could be about a relationship. He just doesn't seem satisfied with his actions. It's in C minor and has a dark cold or sad sound to it. "I don't care about anyone else but me. I don't care about anyone." This is how the world perceives us at times. We may seem cold and uncaring, but it may be because we don't know what the other person is feeling or expecting, or what to do about it. At the end the singer sounds resigned.

A lot of hardcore songs are right on the money...Minor Threat and Fugazi have a few candidates, although I couldn't get more specific offhand.

One line from the Black Flag song resonates with me 100%: "I conceal my feelings...so I won't have to explain...what I can't explain anyway..."

This is what I'd vote for, I used to listen to this relentlessly when I was about 13 years old. This is what I'd like to broadcast to the world if I had the means.

I'm not sure how good this song is for representing AS in general, but I'm sure that many Aspies can relate to it (though some may have a problem with the line about god). I can especially relate to the part that I bolded...
