No I didn't leave it late, I asked them months ago to talk 2 me but they didn't officially aspect me until a 2 weeks ago, because they had to find a physiologist to say I was fit to go on the gap year.
I have spoken to them and warned them about my very limited food diet, need of a scedule etc
I'm too scared to ask, but I have to I'm the only one who can explain it properly cause my parents dont understand my AS enough still.
The year starts either in a youth hostel with meals made for you, or in a flat 10 mins from the youth hostel. I don't know which one is better, I worked out that I need to have my own room, even though they said I'd be sharing with 1 other girl. I cant sleep without audio books, I cant take a whole year without a room I can call mine not a corner of a room. I can't shut out noises of background chatting if my room-mate will have friends out when I want an early night.
I'm too scared to ask as they either might not take me seriously, or there wont be a way to have my own room. I feel horrible asking for it like I'm being fussy I wish there was an easier way.

Also I wrote down every food I eat its about 30 foods in total, depending on my stomach-ache, if i don't feel well I cant have meat it gives me a stomach ache etc.
I don't know how to get round that if the youth hostel staff are cooking for 200 people, the next 6 months I'm independent buying my own grocerys so thats not a problem after 3 months.

Also I have NO IDEA what i'm doing when I get there. Apparently wearing hiking up a hill and sleeping ut doors, its a bonding excise this scares me SOO MUCH. Food?? bed?? Space??? Computer??

Don't get me wrong when I adjust into it, it will help me to live away from home and be independent but I need suggestions and help I cant sleep over it.

I think you need to make certain you get your own room. You're not going to be okay otherwise, unless you get an angel for a roommate.

I'm from the US, so I'm not familiar with the gap year experience, however I spent four years living in dorms in college, and I can tell you that white noise machines and ear plugs are your friend.

I rung up yesterday and end up stuttering, while trying to explain it and then i started welling up with tears because I couldnt get the words out. There going to get a trained organiser whos in charge of the gap year to talk to me. Though I have no idea when or if they'll quite get AS.
