I've been wondering if us, Aspies, are on the same page concerning the human race, NT's and the rest.

Just a few pointers, feel free to discuss:

-Do you have contempt for the human race?

-If yes, is your contempt exclusively for NT's?

-If no contempt and are happy with the human race, why (because I can't fathom that ideal)?

-How do you entertain your vision? Do you see one single, happy human family (like a peace and love gathering) or wish you'd be the World Dominator who's victory is his (or her's), annihilate humanity and rest (alone) in your castle?

I'll share my vision: I used to hate the whole human race before I've been diagnosed with AS.

I'm now distinguishing between AS's and NT's and have some sort of "compassion" for NT's in a way that they don't know any better and their ignorance can't really help them.

I'll be ready to consider a "no retaliation" status to an open-minded NT that share an understanding of AS.

But I still call most of humanity "sheeple".

When I was young and immature, I felt contempt for the human race, and that was long before I knew anything about autism or Asperger's. Now I pity it, and that pity includes Aspies, because many of them are just as deluded in their own ways, particularly about their presumptions of superiority. The human race is basically flawed, and I don't see many examples of Aspies who don't share those flaws.

I hate the human race far less than I used to. I didn't really hate them, was just fed up with the drama I was entrenched in. Now that I am distanced from that drama I feel more mental numbness than anything and am far, FAR less worried. It's nice not experiencing so much worry.

Do you have contempt for the human race? No...

If no contempt and are happy with the human race, why (because I can't fathom that ideal)? ...because it's fun watching where it goes :)

How do you entertain your vision? Do you see one single, happy human family (like a peace and love gathering) or wish you'd be the World Dominator who's victory is his (or her's), annihilate humanity and rest (alone) in your castle? None of it, i just don't care. I guess the 'human family' cannot be happy for few more centuries, but at least it's not that boring here.

Sometime i wonder whether i can excuse my carelessness by AS, or i should do something about it.

Some days I think I do hate the human race. It happens when I get really frustrated about something (which is fairly common for me...)

Most days I just feel frustrated by people, because they seem to do such STUPID things sometimes, and I can plainly see that they're making (to me) an obvious mistake, and I get frustrated that they just don't see what I think is obvious.

AS AN ASPIE I FEEL THE AURA OF ALIENATION THAT EXEMPLIES OUR VIEW OF THE WORLD. I THINK THIS BASIC ALIENATION TENDS TOWARD A NEGATIVE VIEW OF NTS. I THINK WE COULD ALL BENEFIT IF WE CAN BUILD A COMPASSIONATE VIEW IN THE BUDDHIST SENSE PERHAPS. I AM SO OFTEN FREQENTLY FRUSTRATED BY THE IGNORANCE OF MY FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS THAT I DO FEEL MISANTHROPIC. I THINK THAT NTS MEAN WELL BUT DUE TO THE INDOCTRINATION OF THEIR PARENTS IN VARIOUS SUPERSTITIOUS RELIGIOUS BELIEFS THEY CANT SEE BEYOND THEIR OWN CONDITIONING. PERHAPS WE ASPIES HAVE THE ABILITY TO LOOK BEYOND THE CONDITIONING OF NTS.

I don't feel contempt for human race. I care about humanity and is sometimes moved by what some people are capable of doing, acts of kindness etc, but most of the time I just like to see how the human race develops, sometimes it's frustrating, but mostly fun. I almost feel unhappy sometimes because I won't get to see the whole thing (i.e. I'd probably won't be around to see the end of the world)... like being dragged out of a theatre before the movie ends.

I have always felt isolated from people and not like other people. My parents were very much isolationists and did not allow me to have friends over. In fact, I didn't, and still don't, have many friends to invite over anyway, but I think my parents were undiagnosed (they are World War II generation) Aspies. My mother eventually went to a mental hospital twice and has since been diagnosed with schizophrenia and manic depression. I don't feel down, necessarily, I understand now I'm different from anyone and I cannot expect them to like me or me to like them. I used to believe I was misanthropic, but I don't feel too much hatred anymore, just the usual lack of understanding.

There's this song lyric from Entombed:
"There are times when not being human would be a source of inner pride"

and that pretty much sums up how I feel, but studying Aspergers has helped me by understanding that NTs will react a certain way to me, there's not much I can do about that, especially now that I don't try too hard to fit in like I used to (because nothing is going to change anyway). I see how people react to me, but I keep to myself, very removed from the situation, even when I'm standing right there. I just stay apart.

When people form organizations that a mob mentality or an attitude of "only following orders" develops and people do despicable things or refuse to do what is right. Individuals, acting on their own tend to be decent enough, except that too many won't admit that they were wrong when they acted under group pressure. Even when they are removed from the group pressure situation they far too often try to rationalize their behavior.

Also, too many people refuse to listen to rational arguments if they don't fit their preconceived views. And people who won't even try a new way of doing things because "we've always done it this way," I'm sure we all know a few of those.

I try not to let these things get to me because I realize that most people are acting out of insecurity and trying to protect themselves from having proof of their limited intelligence. It does bother me some times that people like that are often in positions of power because they are seen as charismatic by their fellow airheads, while I am often ignored or written off because the superficial way that I present myself doesn't fit the ideal (mostly in ways too subtle for anyone to describe). I don't hate anyone who hasn't earned my hatred with intentional malice, but I do find contempt sometimes hard to avoid.

As for separating NTs from Aspies, I don't personally know anyone whom I know to be diagnosed with AS (including myself) so trying to categorize people in my everyday life would require guesswork, and making dxes that I'm not qualified to make. I do find that people in this forum are generally more reasonable than people I know personally, or from other internet sites, though it is still hard to tell how well I would get along with people here if we did meet in person.

Humans are an inferior species, most of what they do is impulsive and unconscious, they are not very aware. The world is filled with war, poverty and apathy... AFTER MILLIONS OF YEARS AND THOUSANDS of generations of humans.... that right there is evidence of "Failed race". Not enough people understand everyone has to look out for one another if the world is to get better, that's why I don't like most NT's. The only way the world will get better is if we improve ourselves.

-Most humans prefer lies to truth, especially NT's
-Most NT's (not all) aren't usually very deep (extreme superficiality)
-Most are aesthetically prejudice (i.e. treat you different or won't associate with you depending on appearance, status, wealth, etc)
-Most if not all don't scrutinize their signals they receive from the nervous system (is this an illusion, is my body/mind lying to me?)

There are way too many faults with human beings for me to like them very much, but I know it's a function of their outdated biology. We need anti-dysgenics.

No; I don't have any grand vision of humanity that leads me to see everyone in the same way. Generally, I worry about myself and let others decide what's best for themselves; I really see no need to judge the lifestyle of people who are perhaps radically different from me. I'm more introverted than most people, though, and am prone to depression at times; and, because of this, some people assume I must be some kind of misanthrope, but that is inaccurate. Sometimes, like when I'm driving on a congested road and people are cutting each other off, I do get a bit annoyed about the people around me, but I generally don't think misanthropically. I am generally optimistic about humanity as a whole, if anything, but think certain stressors and constraints can easily lead people astray.

It's a good thing you put compassion in quotes because what you are talking about is still the contempt you had before—now thinly veiled as self-righteousness. I don't know what you mean by "to consider a 'no retaliation' status," but obviously you don't sound like a joy to be around.

Dontchya just love the people who say "I used to hate the human race, but now I'm all grown up and mature and only kids do that. I've risen above that and now, the only people I look down on are the ones who are the same way I used to be" ?
No stench of hypocrisy there then.

I've never hated the WHOLE human race - but there have been times when I was seriously ph**ked off with certain representatives of it.

Sometimes I laugh at the misfortunes of those I dislike because let's be honest, while it's great to share the joy, it's often just as great to share the suffering.

Nothing wrong in admitting that.

Doesn't make you misanthropic.
More justifiably pissed off. ;)

I'm actually somewhat sociable (and need to in my line of work). Am I a joy to be around? Probably not but then you have to read between the lines and see the irony of such a statement (for an Aspie, I'm kind of good at anything ironic or sarcastic).

Is it still contempt? Sure, toward the incredule.

I have no patience for close-minded people, idiots or imbeciles that can't understand that other people may be different.

I think you have a right to self-righteousness when you're being attacked for being who you are.

That is my point.

YES, but there IS some pity also!

-If yes, is your contempt exclusively for NT's?

Maybe not.

-If no contempt and are happy with the human race, why (because I can't fathom that ideal)?

I couldn't fathom that either, but I guess they take advantage in some way.

Frankly, I just wanted to have a small family, live the old American ideal, and BE LEFT ALONE! I never wanted much.

All my answers ALSO are from before I knew of AS, and haven't changed AT ALL!

I was TOYING with the idea of writing a NON-fiction book that was THINLY veiled to look like Fiction. It would be almost EXACTLY like the ORIGINAL Planet of the Apes, in the basic premise*, but show how it is REAL! But I haven't figured how to viel it well enough to get past "P.C.", and not so well that it looks like a cheap rework. Still, I have been referring to this phenomenon for almost the past 3 decades!

MAN do I have a lot of material though!

* For those that don't know, after stripping out the details, and how it is revealed, the basic premise is that the Apes are bred and trained to be slaves to the humans. The humans, having no need to do things, lose touch with technology.

Meanwhile, the Apes learn to talk. The last episode of POTA indicates this is a parodox created by a chimp born from intelligent apes of the future being left in the past. The apes REBEL, and hide all evidence of their past!

Almost everyone is led to believe that humans are just dumb creatures that are a danger, and any attempt to say anything different could get you killed! Old citys are declared to be dangerous areas where NOBODY is allowed to go.

The apes end up ruling the land, and abandoned all technology except for the basic old style technology they can easily imitate(In other words, a few steps behind what the zealous Amish do today.). Interestingly, though, they still have rifles!

-Do you have contempt for the human race?
Yes. Stupid, cruel, selfish, ape-like creatures all.

-If yes, is your contempt exclusively for NT's?
No. I'm an equal-opportunity misanthrope.

-How do you entertain your vision?
I feed it barbecued pork chops, cole slaw, and roasted corn on a regular basis.

-Do you see one single, happy human family (like a peace and love gathering) or wish you'd be the World Dominator who's victory is his (or her's), annihilate humanity and rest (alone) in your castle?
Neither; I'd rather live in my castle and leave the rest of the world to its own nefarious devices.

That is unfortunate. You still have a lot of fear and resentment pent-up inside and you treasure it like gold and jewels. You've built a castle-wall around your suffering. :(
