No, don't sugar-coat it.

I've got broad shoulders, I can take it, dude.

OK. I haven't seen anything from you that's particularly funny. So if some of what I read was supposed to be, it wasn't.

And please stop calling me "dude". It's annoying.

Take that!

Christ!
Where TF did THAT come from ?

Thought I was engaged in some good-humoured banter when all of a sudden some humourless **** kicks me in the knuts.

I think you're one of those that proves my point.

Unless you're just anti-MemberSix because his views are different from yours.

Spiteful little **** !

No, make that Sneaky, spiteful little **** !

I used to use LOL excessively until I noticed other people doing it and it became apparent to me how annoying it was, so I cut down. I only use it now when something really is laugh-out-loud funny. Otherwise, smilies work just as well.

Yes, and rather than being given a chance to think of something appropriate, they've just taken away the ability for me to choose it. >_>

I can't find the option any more, and when I go to edit profile something at the top says 'Note: we've fixed your custom rank and avatar, sorry for the inconvenience'. Maybe I'm going crazy, but i'm sure that the edit profile thing looks different and I can't find the custom rank option any more.

Of course, it still says 'Huge Hard Cock' right now.

Could it be that you're internally pronouncing the word LOL ?
And since it feels like it's possible to choke by excessive dropping of the jaw to make a pronounced (hard) 'O', you actually experience a virtual choking sensation ?

Or maybe it's because as a standalone 'word' (acronym), it's just weird - invoking as it does, it's close cousin lollop (vi - To lounge about ; loll) ?

Yup, same here.

But Haha looks mocking and sarcastic.

You know, when someone sarcastically says "Haha, very funny !"

Strange. I notice it too. Usually a lol is represented as a "hehe", "ha", :D or  on these forums
