Hum,

I cried at my wedding and when my son was born, both of overwhelming joy, but I never cried at funerals....

or while watching a movie or listening to music.

I cry a heck of a lot. I don't know but I think it is more of a wail! I don't usually get emotional about movies (I didn't understand what happened to Bambi's mom!) but reading 'A friend like Henry' by Nuala Gardner about her autistic son and his making the decision to have his dog put down had me in hysterical tears! I suppose I likened it to the time I had to have my little baby bunny put to sleep. One of the worst days of my life.

Yes, I cry a lot, almost every day it seems. Sometimes several times in a day, other days I don't (thank goodness!).

Music can make me cry Kelly Rowland's Stole is one of them. Often when I'm angry and severely frustrated and when I'm reading History.

I don't cry at funerals I shed more tears over a woman I didn't know who died at a friend's party than at my uncle's funeral (none shed here my dad didn't cry either)

crying is a necessity.

if you didn't cry you'd have to get special drops to put in your eys on a regular basis

Like tomamil
... I don't cry in synch with everyone else.
I dont usually cry at movies... but books do it to me all the time.

Not when the hero dies, or when something bad happens...
I cry when the cavalry arrives...or at the concept of belonging.

Couldnt cry at my father's funeral.

I don't cry like most people. I cry seldom, and when I do, it's sort of a random, uncontrollable crying fit - I just lie down and sob for an hour. This usually happens when I am quite exhausted; it seems to have more to do with physical and mental exhaustion than emotions. I'd say it happens an average of ten times per year.

I rarely experience strong emotions, but when I do, they don't usually make me cry. It's kind of hard to explain.

For some reason this thread reminded me of this song which I haven't heard in at least 12 years.

And also people might make fun of me for this but I don't care. When I saw the episode of Futurama about Fry's dog for the first time the ending got to me.

I used to not be able to cry, even when I was thinking about suicide. I think for me it's related to hormones; now that I'm taking female hormones I cry every couple of days or so when I get depressed.

yeah I cry ...

I find I am not empathetic when someone is whimpy...

Especially when it is something I have already dealt with or can't imagine how upset ppl get over stupid crap...

Someone was recently crying to me because her husband wouldn't co sign a loan for her to get a new car!! !
Are You f-ing kidding me!! ! Get a grip, twit!! ! I had to leave.

And I guess I am weird because I have no value on things that have died or are dead. To me it is just an empty shell that held the essence of the person or pet that was in it. I don't cry over the shells, I cry because that entities personality is gone, I don't have to look at the shell to remenber them. Burials of shells gives me the creeps. EWE yuck.

On the verge of tears topic

Can and do.

Ever since I was forced to sell my house because of my ex-husband's financial incompetence i have been on the verge of tears  . I know it is grief and I will get over it when I finally move out of where I am staying (with him, for now, waiting :x for my assisted housing :D). Patience, patience. :)

Maybe it’s coincidence but I have noticed that people who have trouble crying usually have very fair skin. I think it's genetic. It has nothing to do with what or how they feel.
