Yes, I get that a lot. I'm happy being as I am now. :D

I believe it gives me just as many advantages as disadvantages. Its all how you cope with your disadvantages that defines your success. I can speak with a near-perfect accent after hearing an accent for about an hour. On the other hand I've been known to tell a story and recieve confused glances.=)

If anyone looked at my profile earlier than a few days ago, it was AS Dx or whatever it was.

I'm awesome at troubleshooting computers and I can easily understand plumbing and electricity. I can focus on a problem and align all the details in a way NTs find it very hard to. I usually think in streams, so anything that deals with streams of anything I can understand.

I also can teach kids things pretty effectively since I had to step by step learn all the things that they are supposed to just know. I can walk them through why they should or shouldn't do things that just bowls their parents over most of the time.

Advantage.

In relationships: NO.
When I was a kid, yes, in high school yes.

College: NO....

Too much coffee. Stress. Thinking, thinking, sleep thinking, wake up thinks, too much eurekas.... Fighting teachers.

I have realized that I have to accept who I am and don't hide that I actually have a neurological problem and was born autistic.

As long as it doesn't interfer my faith, morals, values, and self... it's fine. After getting too much asked "are you autistic?". I'm fed up with this. I am still trying to make sense
