Thank you, Nomaken. Your avatar may be offensive to some because it's kinda freaky looking, but no one complains about that, and you've had it for a long time.

Actually, a lot of people *did* comment about how Nomaken's avatar was disturbing. And then they blocked it and the problem went away. :-)

BTW, I always used to freak out the school nurses when they did their annual TB tests because I always came back positive. I was born in a region where all kids got TB immunization but then moved to another region where they don't do that so my antibodies were completely unexpected.

I didn't even know that's what TB_Samurai's avatar was depicting until all of this started. Maybe I'm just dumb.

I'm WELL aware that my avatar might bother people. And i would say my avatar IS graphic. Doesnt change the truth value of what i said about TB's avatar.

Personally, not enough people have bitched about it, or expressed to me that they were seriously enough bothered by it for me to be willing to change it. If a mod contacted me and asked me to change it because it is too graphic, i'd change it. But i'd be....

Very....

Unhappy to change it. I take most of my pride from my self image that i am the weirdest sane person alive(I know that probably isnt true, but i haven't found anybody i'd consider as weird as me, and i'm essentially shooting for being the weirdest person alive). The avatar for me is extremely important. It defines me. I am it. It is me. That avatar is a beautiful representation of me. And if i had to change it i would feel that i am betraying or losing a part of my soul.

The perfect one would be filia eating xellos' head. But this is pretty good.

Also if you know Gundam seed, you'd know how incredibly appropriate the scene is. It is quite beautiful.

But the fact that my avatar is graphic, and has good reason to be disturbing to some doesnt mean im wrong that TB's isn't graphic, or likely to be disturbing.

Sorry to Nomaken, for Me, Your avatar has bothered Me and kinda still does a bit but I have never said nothing until now. It has took Me some time to get used to it a bit. In the end I myself just don't look at it much so I read what You post in what ever thread or forum You have posted in the end. I still don't really looking at it if at all anytime. But I move on the best way I can by not looking at at all.

Put me down as someone who doesn't get what anybody is upset about it. The avatar in question doesn't bother me and quite honestly I wouldn't care if my kids saw it. It would likely be different if it was a real person, but since it appears to be anime, I have no problem explaining to my kids that it is just animation, not real, and that's that.

Sigh. The avitar in question shows a samurai. They spent MUCH of their time coated in blood, although it was more commonly someone else's blood. So its hardly incorrect.

If you have an "Esc" button on your computer, you can immobilize Nomaken's avatar so the girl does not bite the boy's head off, if that helps, Kevv. The Escape button will immobilize all graphics on the page, including the emoticons.

i'm offended by cartoons like tom & jerry because i've known people in real-life who've died from being hit on the head with frying-pans and being pushed off a cliff in a barrel, etc.

Just for clarification... was that sarcasm? (I was totally believing it until I came to the barrel part.)

i really did clobber a cat over the head with a golf club once, thinking i'd see stars flying above its head  ... and a friend tossed the same cat into the air wondering if it would land on it's feet (it didn't) ... poor cat, it really had the sweetest temperament!

i agree, the root cause of this behaviour is all these violent cartoons aimed at young children  i think we should set up an organisation to stop them... Autistic Spectrumians for Nonviolence, Understanding and Helping.. ASNUH

I feel that we should move forward, be happy and have fun. I think that this should all be put behind us. We should enjoy the things that make each of us unique.
