I know I'm stoned when I say Inventor is trying to kill me. Countdown to him ejaculating at me and Tias' banning!

**Hand raised**

In bed by nine after having worked all day in the office. Got nine hours of sleep. New Years -- baaah!

Me too. Nice and relaxing.

I had trouble sleeping, of course, because my party-loving neighbors had the music turned up. I couldn't very well complain, though, not on New Year's.

Yeah. I was upstairs watching SpongeBob, the countdown to the new year on TV and using the internet. :)

I spent part of the evening with family, after my plans with friends fell through and went home later.
I actually enjoyed being on my own at midnight
It was me, the cat, the tv and a cup of tea :)

Hands in the ay yer, a, ayer, ayer, a, ayer!! topic

When I was a kid I thought when I woke up New Years Day things would be noticeably different...

The aspie way of thinking about the new year. Maybe someday things will be totally, suddenly different at the nanosecond past midnight, January 1 of any year!!

Another New Year's Eve, alone without any one to kiss. But when I went to New Year's Eve's parties in the 90's, I still ended up alone without any one to kiss.
I never watch the ball drop on TV any more because it's too depressing watching couples kiss.

I wasn't alone because my parents asked me to "celebrate" new year with them. I wish I had been alone though...

I did too ! For some reasons, celebrating new year always makes me think that something will change immediatly. Big changes never happened and I'm still waiting. Though I see why we have a calendar, I somehow don't see the point in celebrating New Year (well, apart from spending some time with a friend or two when they invite you) because it just doesn't change anything.

Yep.

New Years Eve sucks though. I had to put up with the noise of all the party-goers coming home from their drunken socializing. I'm trying to sleep, dammit!

I was really happy because I saw the coolest fireworks, let me explain. Used to be, the fireworks for 4th of July and New Year's were virtually the same display only at different times during the year.
Nowadays, or nights, the fireworks displays are distinctly different and it's so cool. Last night's was just like champagne bottles spraying sparkles and glitters everywhere and the colors were champagny pastels and such. It was cool. I liked it better than the 4th, actually. The difference in colors and display technique was exceptional and I liked it, thanks City.

I was in bed, trying to ignore the noises of the people and fireworks outside.

I've never 'seen the new year in'.
