I have problems with taking a shower because of how my skin feels afterwards. I'd think it was something dermatological, but it doesn't really matter what I do. It doesn't matter where I take the shower, my house, someone else's, a hotel, etc (so it's not an issue of minerals in the water), the temperature of the water (even if its literally freezing... one time the heat was broken but I had to be in class), what soap I use or even if I use soap. When I get out, my skin itches like holy hell and burns and is all red.
Maybe it's the pressure of the water. Or you could try taking baths if possible. My bathtub is square rather than round so baths aren't very comfortable.
I remember using my bf's towels and they would make my skin red and sore because the fiber was coarser than my towels at home.
Anniemaniac: I can't stand bright light too. I have to wear reading glasses outside lol.
And I get annoyed by my hair too. When I was getting my hair cut my long fringe was on my face and I couldn't move so I had to take it itching my face. Luckily I only got a trim.
