However, I do have a conspiracy theory about conspiracy theories.

I think all conspiracy theories (except for this one, of course) are ultimately created by The Government (TM), as a means of distracting the public with false stories, so that they'll be so busy chasing after phantom conspiracies that they will never discover the real Evil Conspiracies (TM) the government is up to.

I think there might be some truth to that Arcanyn. I'm reading a book by Richard C Hoagland called Dark Mission The secret history of Nasa. There is an interesting point where he desciribes how a "Man in Black" was ushered around the press at Nasa's JPL(Jet Propulsion Lab) by a high ranking official handing out disinformation during the first moon landing. So from the start they put a seed in the minds of the press that the moon landings were faked which could then be used at a later date if needed to cover anything up.

As I said somewhere in this thread, they sometimes put something out, to derail ppl.

I have my own, which was partly inspired by akalas song, military minds, i heard a few lines, and i expanded on them. We go to work, do our work, like build stuff, fix stuff, fight wars etc. for our goverment. Then the goverment pay us. But we have to pay shopkeepers for our stuff, and shopkeepers inevitably pay our money back to the goverment in the form of the shopkeepers buyin stock. So, that part in short, we're slaves workin for free. The cycle goes on also. Builders, who are payed to build things, like houses and monuments for the Goverment, eventually start payin in shops, and payin taxes. Where does it go? Back to the goverment it originated from. Soldiers go out and fight for our individual nations. Get paid by the Goverment, buy stuff, money goes back.

So however you think about this, We're slaves. With no deposit, or payment.

Tea fields = plantation slave
maids/janitors = house slaves
soldier = no cash mercenary

need i go on?

I 'believe' those that say that there are people on this planet who care a lot for money and power and do not put compassion and cultural norms above all like the average person does. This is more like knowing and not believing.

Why would influential organisations that strive for power and/or money in secret not exist?

I mean, I have known and met enough people whom society refers to as 'corrupt' or as 'displaying corrupt behaviour' in some way or another, sometimes just a little whereas some people appear as if from another dimension.

It's not that big people in big positions are usually corrupt. It's more like that some people on this planet are and some are not and you have to have an idea who's who or you're missing out.

It should not be that hard to believe that people are driven by longings for higher powers and overstep the boundaries of 'common sense' and 'morale hard work' to varying degrees. I mean, look at it from a different perspective:
how can you feel bound in these in the first place? Hard work? Morality? Common sense? 'What's supposed to be'? We all got a mind of our own and it's our choice to use it.

Yeah, we are all slaves to the system. Just watch as the system collapse. New systems will emerge, but will they be better?
In my theoty, the economical crisis was carefully planned, getting people into more enslavement than ever before.

I don't know how "secretive" it is, but I do believe well funded organizations can consolidate and make a significant impact. With enough money and enough consolidation they can influence things.

one of the amusing aspects of conspiracy theories is that if there is no evidence to support the allegation of conspiracy that is taken as proof of how clever the conspirators are. In short no proof is is proof and proof is proof.

I'm quite familiar with all of the conspiracy theories, and take some of them pretty seriously. If you take the time to research them further it can get very interesting.. connecting all of it, I mean.
(I'm interested mostly in the Illuminati and ancient history stuff)

I think they're amusing, especially the Reptilians. I don't believe any of them myself, but they're fun to read about.

mm I like the harassment ones, like being gang stalked (harassed by noise, strangers , neighbours etc) and 'street theatre'. It's a bit like Truman syndrome I guess, but it's sort of like my (or most aspies) lives, only nuttier and more paranoid than most aspies.

I like to think about the possibilities of them being real, but do not actually believe any of them. I like most things that stimulate my mind, and they do a decent job of that. They are good "food for thought". :)

There's no way anyone is secretly controlling the world or anything like that.
