But trolling on a thread talking about heavyweight issues is pretty lame, even for a Troll.

I troll to my standards, not yours.

Child, I can admit to anything because my self-worth doesn't depend on what you (or anyone else) thinks of me.
You need for me to be a "troll" so that you can better justify your actions and posts towrds/about me.
Fine.
It is no skin off my back and I won't lose a wink of sleep knowing that you believe me to be a troll.

's fine by me; keeps the thread fresh.

People are just seeing the first post & hitting the link for the New Republic.

Good to have you as part of the campaign effort.

I would have no problem with you if you didn't constantly bully me, discriminate against teenagers and troll. I find it hard to believe that you haven't been banned yet, seriously!

HarryWillliams, thanks for posting this link to Prof. Baron-Cohen's statement. I am always yelling my head off (okay, a little hyperbole there) about the power of words and imagery to create good or cause harm. I hope the advert gets scrapped very soon. We don't need demonic images associated with autism.

As much as I disagree with the ad, we have to remember the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. They can say/do whatever the hell they want.

Yes, the charity's been totally selfish co-opting autism for their fundraising.

It's just one more in a long line of PR disasters.

Even though the advert originated in England, the 1st Amendment gives us the right to speak out against it. Yes, anyone can say whatever they want (except Fire! in a crowded theatre), and we have the right to shout it down until people begin to get a clue.

Trolling is not welcome in these forums, and you are welcome to troll to no one's standards. I am going to recommend you obey a time-out period of no less than one day (24 hours) from your last post to this thread; you may continue to post to other topics so long as you do not troll.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but who is Baron-Cohen, and for what reason does he choose to involve himself in this situation?

I'm with the guy 100%, but it would help me understand this if I knew just who he was...
