I don't know about my speaking voice, but my singing voice is weird as heck...and that's coming from me o_O

My friends who have had singing lessons tell me I sing a little too nasally, and that I sing from my throat too much...but if I don't sing from my throat, it sounds plain awful :x

Very monotonous, low, too loud, and sometimes not loud enough, in that case I mumble.

Mine is too loud. Don't know why, but even if I'm speaking to people, they believe I'm shouting. I usually have a very monotonous voice, except when I have a melt-down, then it's the opposite.

I sound very unusual for somebody who grew up in South Western Canada. I've always thought that a destitute London couple gave me up for adoption, and that's why I was the unfavoured firstborn with the Cockney accent.

The fact that I have a strange accent/no accent is probably logical enough. My family moved around a great deal before I was ten years old, so I did not pick up any particular regional accent. Or most likely, my accent is in fact a mishmash of about five different accents.

I'm not sure if it's just that, though, that gives me a very distinctive voice. I'm never mistaken on the phone for anyone else. People tend to think that I'm either a lot younger than I am, or a lot older. I've been addressed like I was a child, and like I was a grandmother.

My voice has an unusual sound and it tends to change from one moment to the next. I have this rude, apathetic, psychopathic voice for as*holes.

I have no control over my voice and I've had some deep, deep issues with accents in the past - now I'm trying my best to be enunciate clearly and hopefully come off as well-spoken. The speech problem is probably the hardest aspect of AS to shake off, for me anyway.

I think I have a lot of problems controlling it. It binds to other accents I am around too. It's also been squeaking for the last four years as if my balls have only just dropped.

I hate my voice. I always sound like I'm whining. I've seriously considered trying to go to a speech therapist or something just to change the pitch (high) and timbre (whiny) of my voice.

I'm also loud. To speak what is a normal volume to other people I practically have to whisper. That used to get worse when I used to drink.

Mine is really deep, maybe even a little gravelly, and people often think I'm mumbling when I'm not. When I've worked in call centers and had to speak a little louder and at a higher octave to sound friendlier, I've often been told I sound like a radio announcer.

I just lack emotional inflection for the most part, and apart from some small nuances with stressing syllables and adding a question-like rise to the end of most sentences, I sound like a typical male from Oz.

Same here, except basso profundo. Some days when I wake up, I just croak really low.

I think I do, yeah. Other people have told me its not so bad but when I hear my voice recorded it sounds like crap! It's way too deep for a female and seems to go up and down in pitch a lot for no reason.

other than my lisp with "s" words, many women have said my voice is sexy. I don't think it's sexy, but I'm not a woman...

I always sound like I have a cold. My sister, who is NT, is very nasal.
