Please God, save us from Autism Speaks!
We are about to be bombarded by their sad, pathetic images portraying us.
Oh, and the parents praying that their children be free of the "prison within," that we all know is more like a "playground within." The prison is created by society.
Let's put an all out effort into the REAL awareness while we have the chance.
For me---my life has been a playground. I realize people have different experiences with their autism, but for me I have had fun with it. Now there have been challenges too---I have even had therapy for issues. But---autism for me is fun. I perceive my autism as a gift from God. I opened the gift and embraced it. I use the gifts and enjoy them. So if you feel like you are in a prison, try to find your gift---and open it and enjoy it. At that point, I believe you will find it a playground.
