Okay, before you say anything, I'm NOT A TROLL.

I'm just thinking. Remember the kid with Aspergers and OCD who wrote the "Should girls be treated like sex objects" kind of posts. I found somewhere that most people with Aspergers are more likely to make really ridiculous posts, and not understand that the other members of that forum will be extremely annoyed by them. They are more likely to get flamed or eventually banned. It's like aspies need to learn the social etiquette of message boards.

The social graces are often what many on the spectrum have the hardest time recognizing and reciprocating; what may seem to be "common sense" to one person will seem baffling to another. Some of the post are extreme, some are soaked in upset and tend to provoke, others are just bewildering, but none of these qualities invalidate their distress or confusion.

Both posting, and bitching about postings is a universal trait. All humans have it.
(Btw.... sorry that I didn't read the replies at all, figured they'd all be ridiculous posts)

Ridiculous threads tend to attract ridiculous posts. I think it is some kind of universal law.

It's true, you might not be popular asking such questions but you won't necessarily be banned unless you target an individual member. You can critique ideas but should abstain from personal attacks on other posters.

No.

I'm not bashing anyone. Most of it was from observation, not from this forum.

I know a kid with Aspergers who was asking so many questions, he never took the time to use Google for once. People tell him to use google. Many people are patient with him "just because he has asperger's"

What's ridiculous to one might not be to another. I admire people who aren't afraid to ask the tough questions. I disdain those who are too afraid of being unpopular so they opt for self censorship instead. Life is one long educational experience.

My concern is that someone will have a real question, that is serious to them, and they will be afraid to post it because they think others will think it is stupid.

"Stupid" needs to be defined. For example, I posted on here that I lost my lucky number. I was upset about it and to me it was not a stupid post.

I think I read somewhere that some with AS are whistleblowers, not afraid to draw attention to problems in industries. Small details about dangerous situations that could affect a lot of people.

Okay. From now on, if you got nothing productive to say, then don't post in my thread. :x

I'm being serious here. I want the "comedians" out of my thread.

My statements were based on my experiences and my observations.
