in food or in nature creep you out? I don't know how to explain or exactly which pattern. It's just that when I see it, I get the creeps, shiver and just can't stand to look.

It's human nature to discern patterns everywhere we look. Form something as simple as seeing pictures in clouds to discovering the pattern that led to the periodic table of elements.

Nothing to worry about.

I get the same kind of feeling. If there are too many bright colors in a pattern.

I get something that I think might be similar.

I don't know if everyone here knows what Life Cereal is, but if you leave it in milk for a few hours, it soaks up so much milk, that each individual piece of cereal becomes a grotesque parody of its former self. There have been times when I walk into my kitchen, ready to do some breakfast dishes, and there is that bowl with the HUGE squares floating in it. It gives me a feeling of complete horror when I see it. The feeling passes quickly, but it's very intense.

Is that anything similar to what you are talking about?

Exactly, I think that's even happened to me w/ life cereal. It also happens with other things to like when I steamed rice once without stirring it. It got these creepy holes in it where the steam came out. It creeps me out just thinking about it. It's also happened with the congealed cheese on cold pizza from a certain pizza chain and countless other things too. I just wondered if it happened to anyone else.

I feel something similar about the steamed rice thing -- the way my grandma serves it, it always still has holes at the top -- but I never think much of it. I've typically had something weird against uneven textures, which is probably why I used to have fun popping bubble wrap all the time, and why I pick at any pimples I get right away. You probably understand what I'm talking about... It used to bother me more, though.
