I get them a lot too. A lot. And it drives me crazy. I would love to know what really causes it.

Don't you people know anything? It's caused by a reprogramming of the Matrix!

(sorry, but somebody had to say it ;) )

I get lots of deja vus because sometimes, I see very strange places and people in my dreams, and then it happens in reality. But it happens so often, it's scary... maybe I do have a psychic mind. Sometimes I can also feel something bad/good coming, when it's impossible to predict what's going to happen.

Deja-vu is a glitch in the brain where you process the same information twice. I used to get them allot when I was younger, but haven't had any recently. It feels strange and can sometimes make you feel like you're psychic. However, if you were psychic, you could predict it before it happens. With Deja-vu you don't realize it until after the event occurs.

I get it all the time, it always feels weird each time. Sometimes I have to think for a second if I did that already.

I used to experience deja vu whenever I heard or saw something that I found disturbing or weird (whether a noise, an image, or an idea). It would seem to me as if I was experiencing the disturbing thing for a second time, when really it was the first. (And that might have actually been a mercy; that way I wasn't as shocked by it since I thought I'd experienced it before!)

When I became an adult, I no longer experience the sensory issues like I used to, and this thread just made me realize that I haven't experienced deja vu since then either.

I had no idea they could be related!

Nice to know it is a common thing for us. Have experienced this sensation most of my life, there appears to be periods when it is more frequent. No idea why.

Do you also get periods where you feel that you know a person well and stare at them to remember. I usually figure out later I have seen them at the gym for a moment or in a gym class. I know longer react to this sensation, just keep going.

When i get deja-vu, it's about a dream that came true.

It's usually about something aomebody has said. Like somebody has said something in a particular situation, and I just think "hey! de ja vú!". It's rather cool.
