Do you still enjoy swinging?

I've always loved swings. I could swing all by myself for hours; it made me more relaxed and happier.
I still enjoy going to the park nearby and swinging while listening to my ipod. It's very calming, especially after a very overloading day. Other kids always got bored of swings easily, but I went on and on for hours. It's like stimming (rocking back and forth), but combined with the fresh air, it's even better than stimming. Plus, it feels nice to be in the air.

Yeah, swings are great!

Sadly, I don´t get that much time using them nowadays...But I can see your point.

I'm on my swingset everyday, addicted to it.

I love swings. You get a second chance to play on them when you're a parent although your bum usually doesn't fit on them quite so well.

Once while swinging and holding my (then) four year old, I noticed that he was letting go and falling forward. I naturally reached out and put his hand back on the swing chain forgetting that since I was already holding him with one arm around his waist, I was taking my last hand off the chain. We flew off and I landed more or less on top of him. He was ok but I got a lot of filthy looks and disapproving mutters from other parents in the playground.

Nowadays, I swing by myself. They can have the other swing.

I love swings, but my ass is too big to fit in them anymore, which is very disappointing. I like bench swings, though, or things like that. I would love to have a hammock as a bed.

Since I have 2 ASD kids we have a big platform swing hanging in our living room, and yes I do play with them on it. :)

I still swing once in a while at the park with my teenage friends. I doubt they love swinging as much as me though;)

I have always loved swings. The park where I go for my morning jog has a swingset. I like to go early when nobody else is around. It would look weird if someone saw a 22-year-old guy playing on something that was made for little kids.

I can't tolerate swings at all. Even as a child they would make me feel sick very quickly. Fairgrounds are an ultimate no for me.

Well, I do like to swing. Swinging makes everything better. (Except reading, regular swings are slightly too fast for reading, but hammocks work).

I'm not that enthousiastic about it, but that's probably because I haven't been on a swing or hammock in ages.

Swings provide one of the most amazing experiences life has to offer! :D

My Aspie son's sensory issues, still to be investigated, mean that he can't go a swing by himself, but he has always loved being pushed on a swing - for ages, and ages! :)
