Some people simply find microsoft to be a monopoly. Basically for some, the most obvious example of a greedy corporation. The website url was a play on the general dislike for microsoft.

The only people wh give a crap about bagging microsoft are just fanboys.

If microsoft sucked so much half the world wouldn't use it. I don't see what's wrong with it.

A mac or unix system will never, ever, ever crash. Ever. That's why they're so popular with everybody.

There are actually three sources of evil: money, property and religion.

But, regarding Microsoft, the fact of the matter is sort of hard to deal with from an aspie point of view. The most obvious may be that he is said to be an aspie by some, so should we reserve the right to totally knock him and his work, knowing that he may be very sensitive and all?

The thing is, though, Microsoft can't be too sensitive, having used his cynical power to rise to the top. And he didn't even do it ethically. He stole Windows from Apple, and regardless of whether or not Apple refused to copyright it or whatever doesn't change the ethics of it. It's like stealing from a family member for personal gain. But, then again, maybe Microsoft is very sensitive, given that he just may cover it up and hide it in by portraying himself as the ultimate narcissist.

Microsoft is not widely used outside of the United States, or so I have heard. It is a US phenomenon, with Europe having more or less moved onto Linux and Unix in many cases. The same is also true right here in the US to some degree, especially in some areas of non-profit, government and corporate arenas. The fact of the matter is that he is a dying breed. In about ten years, he's going to be living on the streets. Now, I can't say that for sure, though I'd like to, but he is certainly declining.

You've been misinformed. Microsoft is still by far the most widely-used operating system (in Britain and Europe at least) and is used by the vast majority of people simply because it's the easiest to use and the most well-known. Linux is still mainly for the computer geeks. Some people use Macs but not that many. I've never used a Mac, for one thing.

Popularity doesn't equal quality,an example of that would be the amount of untalented miming pop/pop-rnb/pop-dance groups that have ever been in the UK music charts,it's very manipulated and fake.

As for Microsoft,it's not the company/branding that is the problem,but their products and competency,the open source community are more competent with upgrades and patching.
Bill gives a lot of money to charity when he could keep it all for himself which deserves respect,
but Windows is a victim of it's own success.
It's a poor choice,against other operating systems for various aspects [OSX isn't an alternative as it isn't officially a native x86 install] with game and software developer support increasing for linux,it will one day be a full windows alternative.

Linux? Mac? Windoze? BAH!! All 3 are crappy. You want to know what is best? COLGATE. I use COLGATE every day and it kicks the frickin' ass out of Linux, Mac, AND Windoze.
