I have spent a lot of time thinking about and researching the idea of personality/psychological type and the autism spectrum. My research, using Simon Baron-Cohen's Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) questionnaire with 101 'neurotypical' adults showed that Introversion and Thinking were significantly related to total score on the AQ. When I looked at each of the 5 subscales, more trends emerged. The preference for Introversion was significantly related to Social Skills, Attention Switching and Communication skills. Sensing was significantly related to the Imagination subscale. Thinking preferences were significantly related to scores on the Social Skills subscale and Imagination. There were no significant relationships between Judging/Perceiving preferences and any of the subscales.

What are your thoughts?
I think "Attention Switching" can be considered more a Judging trait than an Introvert trait (Introverts can be very unfocused).
But, by your (and my) reasoning, "Autism" should be an ISTX (ISTJ, according to me) thing. However, most people at WP seems to be IN, not IS.
Possible explanations:
- Intuitives are over-represented at internet foruns (then, over-represented at WP)
- Intuitives are more prone to self-diagnose themselfs
- Sensors adapt better to external world, then, even if they have the traits of AS/ASD, these traits does not impair their functioning
- the theory that AT/AS have impaired imagination could be wrong (many people claims that is wrong). Because "Sensing" enter in the picture via (lack of) Imagination sub-scale, could be the reason to having less Sensors than expected.
