Why is getting diagnosed so hard??

I live in Kansas City, Missouri and the only person in the whole entire city I can find who can diagnose AS is booked until September. And even then I have to go through the gamut of talking to residents, doctors in training, etc. because it's at a learning hospital.

Why can't this be easier? Am I looking in the wrong places?

Or in my case, I have multiple things wrong with me, and putting one of them at the forefront throws my body out of whack.

Are you able to find a pedopsychiatrist in your city ? May be he could receive you sooner ? You may look at hospital...(why not a learning hospital : 10 people, instead of one, examine you and diagnosis may be correct !)
