I have several favorite meals.

My favorite home meal is steamed white rice with refried beans topped with cheese - my drink of choice is either chocolate soymilk, gatoraid, or Ale 8 1 (a local ginger ale soda). I usually eat this every other day

I have several favorite meals I get at certain restaurants. They are...

1. Crawfish etoufee from a local gumbo/ Louisiana cajun place

2. Chicken lo mein with pork fried rice and wonton soup from a really good Chinese restaurant

3. Chicken taqitous w/ mexican rice, refried beans, and guacamole salad w/o sour cream

I am trying to only eat out twice a week, but I used to go to one restaurant every day or two for weeks.

What about you?

Macaroni and Cheese. I will cook it for dinner every time unless my bf cooks something else.

Chocolate. I try not to eat too much of this but I love chocolate. If I have chocolate I will eat it all.

Sweets. if I have sweets here, I will eat it.

Really, I can't function properly without a piece of chocolate a day. If I eat nothing but a piece of chocolate, I'll be fine.

Many people with ASD's tend towards a restricted dietary preference. As a child I would crave salty tomato sandwiches and olives (even as an infant.)

Nowadays, I have fresh chilli (from the plant) or what is known as chilli sauce (hot chilli condiment in a bottle _EXTRA HOT) on everything i eat. I mean literally EVERYTHING, except porridge in the morning.)

So, i just end towards the same food flavour all the time. I take chilli sauce in a bottle with me everywhere I go.

I liiiike...

Calamari with garlic aioli sauce, and apple or blackberry pie a la mode.

We haven't gone to a restaurant with calamari in a while cuz we're all broke, but my mom makes apple pies pretty often. And I think it's blackberry season soon..? I hope.;;;

I tried to make some aioli sauce myself because it's good on a lot of things, but mine turned out kind of gross. XD;;;; Now I have a big jar of it and I'm trying to find something that goes well with it. OTL

^^ Yaaaaye, the foodies that I enjoy eating very often are:

Branston or Heinz Baked Beans on Toast (Often three slices of toast, and just enough beans so that they do not fall from the edge of the toasts)

Flapjacks and Nutri-grain Elevenses/Oaty bakes (If I am present at happy University, I enjoy eating a flapjacks purchased from the magical shop present there after my happy first lecture, alas if I am present at home, I enjoy eating the Nutri-grain elevenses or oat bakes).

Cheese Omelette

Linda McCartney Vegetarian Lasagne

Sugar Puffs with milk (I believe enjoy eating the happy friends at any time during a day)

Fajitas made with quorn chicken cooked by my happy mother (this is veyr nice of her to do so I believe).

Umm... I used to love pizza, and mild curry.
I can't eat those things any more, now I have more bland tolerable foods.
I like rice bubbles, white bread chicken sandwiches, goats cheese and soy milk. Vegemite toast is excellent, and I have tea, peppermint tea or Aktavite chocolate drink. (Like a dairy free Milo) Sometimes peanut butter. I eat the same things everyday.
Ps. I love chocolate. It's tasty and comforting.

soy cheeze pizza: Everyday... minimum every other day.

I have very few other food I will eat but they don't have to be necessarily every day.

To the OP: I live in Louisiana but I rarely eat Louisiana foods. The only Louisiana food I really like is crawfish.

Anyway, my favorite food is just about anything Chinese. And yes, I'm talking Americanized Chinese, and the sweeter the better. Sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, fried rice, cream cheese wontons, etc. I could eat it every day but I limit myself to whenever I can have it. Even back when I was really obsessed with running and eating healthy, I still ate Chinese food at least once every week. Even with that I still managed to lose about 4-5 pounds per week. Nowadays I'm gaining weight rapidly and becoming increasingly unhealthy, mainly because of my Chinese food obsession coupled with my World of Warcraft obsession, sans my running obsession of the past!

i take much time to decide what i am wanting to eat.
sometimes it takes hours to decide on dinner (evening meal).

breakfast is usually easy. i have 2 boiled eggs that are boiled to where the white is hard and the yolk is still runny but a bit hard at the bottom of the egg.
i cook a piece of bread (toast) to the point of almost burnt but not quite.
then i butter it with "lurpak" butter (i think it comes from the netherlands).
i cut it into 6 strips and use 3 strips for each egg.

i dip the strips into the egg in the egg cup and eat the strips. when i have drawn out all the runny yolk, and the rest is hard, i cut i little knob of the butter and drop it into the egg and i mash it around with my spoon and then i scoop the buttery harder yolk out with a small sliver of white (albumen) and it is the best mouthful of the egg.

i repeat the process for the second egg.
sometimes i have scrambled eggs.
sometimes i have poached eggs on toast (toast cooked to medium brown rather than dark brown) and i splash worcestershire sauce on the eggs on the toast and sprinkle them with salt and cracked pepper.

whatever. that is boring to write about.

my favorite dishes are ones i made up but they may exist elsewhere because they are so obvious to think of.

1. chicken mornay vol-au-vents.

i get a quarter roast chicken (unseasoned) from the shop and remove (and eat) the crunchy skin, and shred the meat off it by scraping a fork over it.
i set that aside.
i make a white sauce in the saucepan by using 1.5 tablespoons butter and melting it and then adding 1.5 tablespoons of plain flour and mixing it together.
then i add enough milk slowly until it thickens to a consistency that it will not drip through the tines of a fork. (about 1 cup).
then i add 1/2 a 250 gram jar of cream cheese to the mixture and stir it through.

separately, i sautee some finely chopped mushrooms in a small amount of butter. then i add the mushrooms as well as their juice in the saucepan to the white mildly cheesy sauce. then i slide the shredded chicken in and i mix it all thoroughly and add milk if desired to bring it back to almost "sloppy" but not quite.

then i pop the vol-au-vents (4 x 10cm (approx 4 inches) diameter) into the oven at 150 degrees for about 5 mins to crispen them.

then i take them out and carefully spoon the chicken mornay mixture into them and then i sprinkle them with parmesan cheese (the kraft one in the green cardboard container) and put them under the griller for a few minutes until the cheese browns.

you must be careful not to burn the pastry on the top of the vol-au-vent while you wait for the cheese to brown.

other cheeses take ages to brown and they never get brown before the pastry burns.

it is a delicious dish.
i am sure others have thought of it but i made it up for myself.

i have quite a few other favorite ideas, but i am done for now in this thread.
