I think the most annoying thing that I did was to always insist on sitting in the front seat of the car. I wouldn't take turns with my brother. I would literally scream my head off if I was to sit in the back seat, so my mother gave in and I always sat in the front seat.

It sounds really bratty, but it was based on familiarity and comfort zone. I was used to one thing and didn't want to switch.

Hehehe, I did this too!

Most annoying thing I did would be either:

Shouting 'POO' in public at the top of my voice, and refusing to shut up.

or

Constantly dropping people's possessions down the toilet.

I also loved bothering people while on the toilet. I'd barge into the bathroom, see that someone was on the toilet, forcibly flush the loo whie they were still using it, and leave the room. Or stand there demanding something.

My family would often catch me repeating something in a whisper that I would just say outloud.

Either I got over it or people have yet to keep addressing me on this issue.

I probably annoyed people with all of weird nonsensical things I would say. It was like a compulsion, a regulation problem perhaps, a thought filtering problem or maybe a desperate attempt to connect and it never worked. People would ask "why don't you act normal?" and I never understood what to do about it. Even as recently as a few months ago a friend told me that I need to filter my thoughts better, and I suppose she's right. Why bother to say something that won't get me something I want?

I did this all my life too, still do sometimes though I have learned to just force myself to shut up at times.

I don't seem to filter thoughts, like you. I have thoughts that seem reasonable to me, but freakish to everyone else.

I understand that completely. I had not other outlet besides my mother, so when she got home, she was bombarded by all of my worries, thoughts, emotions, etc. I still do this. I would also often tell her my day from the moment I stepped onto the bus, until the moment I got home. That started up in my late teens. I don't do it as much, now.

I just remembered,
sometimes I'd burst into uncontrollable laughter and it would go on for a couple of minutes..
that got on my mum's nerves rather quickly:p

Explaining to my 6th grade teacher the difference between the special and general theories of relativity. It was a little awkward afterwards, but the quizzical look on his face was worth it!

I would sit at the dinner table and bob my head left and right and up in down in like a circle eight pattern... my dad hated it. I also talked all the time. I don't know, I like to think I was overall a pretty good kid, but my mom disagrees.

i had no sense of boundaries and I would impose myself upon the neighbors and make myself at home. I was also frequently making blunt and offensive statements...without meaning to offend..I also literally...could-not-stop telling stories.....it was a habit I had to force myself out of once I hit puberty.

I sang to myself a lot out loud. Just about everywhere. It drove my brother and my teachers batty.

I'd ask to see their textbooks, and I'd go on, and on about the subject matter. I'm not sure if they thought it was cute, or annoying, or possibly both!

Me, too! I really would love to know now what they were thinking when I did this.

I still annoy people when I get going on a topic that matters to me. This is one thing that I'm really working on. I kind of cringe when I think about how obnoxious I've been without really even knowing it.

Well, when I was in the 1st grade, I used to like to rest my head on all my girl classmates' laps. Only one girl really seemed to tolerate it, but all the other were annoyed. :P
