I got a 43. I think sometimes the results change from time to time. You may answer some questions differently, I think, if you take it again and again. But taking it twice, I think my result would still be a 43.

I find that I need to go back a step or two. I have been researching autism spectrum disorders for some time because my 8 year old has suffered some pretty profound developmental, learning, and communication/speach delays since she was an infant. No one has even been able to give her a diagnosis. At any rate, while researching Aspergers, I realized my boyfriend had a shocking number of things in common with those who have the disorder. After that, I found the AS Quotient Test online. I tried to have him take it, but he had difficulty answering the questions, because he takes everything so literally (helllllo?), so I attempted to answer them for him, knowing his personality and behaviors fairly well. I know it may not be terribly accurate, but his score was a 37 (mine, incidentally was an 11). Upon hearing this, he became very upset. He firmly denies that he may have any type of autism, and is insulted by the insinuation. I, however, was a little relieved! There have been times I have been deeply frustrated and worried by his seeming total apathy. For me, this answers so many questions, and I find the prospect of him having AS relatively undaunting. I have already lived with it for over 2 years, and I lived for 6 before that with my daughters issues. There is an abundance of information at my fingertips now that I have a search word: 'aspergers'. What I struggle with now, is HOW oh HOW do I empathize, relate, or support my partner without upsetting or (further) alienating him??? Please help! :?

Just took the thing again, and scored 37. But I took the test four tiems before, three times for fun and once in a diagnostic procedure. Scores ranged from 22 (when I didn't want to be autistic cause I was doing a social college major in 2006) to 43 (when I was obsessed with ASDs in 2003). I scored about 35 on the diagnostic test.

This test alone cannot be used for diagnostic purposes, but it's sometimes used as a screening tool. I read that under 26 or so means AS can pretty much be ruled out.

mhmm just got my online girlfriend to take the test and she got 13 haha, so i guess i can rule out her being aspy..XD but i'm atleast glad there's a few things she got in common with me haha.

38. Like the guy "not from Lewes Gaol," I was surprised since I thought my answers were pointing less in the direction of the autism spectrum.

But the reason I was honest is because I know these tests are sometimes more sophisticated than they appear.
