Cool! I had to reread the post 3 times to find out what NT could mean if not Neurotypical, hahaha.

NT is New Testament in Henriksson's example (and OT is Old Testament, not Off Topic, haha).

As a student of theology (now master), I was used to NT being short for New Testament, and when I found WP, I wondered why they wrote so much about NT all the time, did they really mean New Testament??
Then I found out that it meant neurotypical, and when I had been around on WP all the summer and returned to the studies, I would wonder when I heard the others talk about NT, eg. NT theology, and thought: Is there really such a thing as neurotypical theology?! 8O

...totally ignore the existence of the pecking order and talk to your father's doctor at the hospital as if you two were equally human beings.

...refuse to study any Ancient Hebrew, make embarrassing mistakes when trying to read it on the bus signs or plainly ignore the signs, and be oblivious to the accusing looks of the rest of the passangers. ("At the sight of white hair, leave your chair" is written on the buses in Ancient Hebrew, to indicate the seat for the old and handicapped).

It's Aspie cool to read such a sign and think that means people are going to give you their seat because you are blonde (but young and physically non-handicapped).

No, that would just mean you can't read and are colour blind.

To want to dye hair, but abstain from doing it because it's too much maintenance. I don't know if that's cool though

Is there anything aspie-cool about activebutodd, or is it all just aspie?

It's Aspie Cool To...

-*quotes everything MathGirl posted*
-be too lazy to quote posts
-use the close captioned function to read all the dialogue instead of listening to it. <--- I do this constantly, it drives me nuts when I'm playing a video game and I have to restart the cutscene because I was too busy reading the CC to watch the scene unfold >.>'
-go to a concert and stare intensely at stage lights. <--- did this at Trans Siberian Orchestra last
December!
-eat the same thing for lunch every day in the same order. <--- check~
-only go on vacations related to one's special interest(s). <--- I totally wanna go to Japan just because I'm into anime [I'm so Wapanese ;-;]
-use arrows to agree to something and give reasons as to why you're agreeing
-know way more about another country's culture than you ever considered learning about your own
-have your mom/friends have you proof read their facebook or twitter tweets at least 5 times daily (so fun XD)
-to prefer to go gay for an anime character rather than a real life person (refer to my post in the "Who Would You Turn Gay For?" thread in the Adolescent Autism Forum) haha
-to have a huge crush on a cartoon character -facepalm-
-to quickly go from one animated crush to another <3
-to use "-facepalm-" every chance you get whether it be irl or online =P
-to use emoticons after every sentence just in case you're chatting with an NT whom might not understand that you're trying to be humorous and not oddly offensive ^.~
-to wonder WWGD (What Would Gackt Do?) in place of the religious favorite WWJD?
-to brim with pride over being atheist to the point that you share this info with everyone you meet (maybe that's just me heh >.>')
-wish you were someone/something/somewhere else only to realize that there's no place like home because you have waffles at home and that the grass isn't always greener on the other side...but it sure is shiny!
-being completely oblivious of your attractiveness even when you get hit on every day (you sexy aspies you ;D)
-spend several hours making up things that are considered to be "aspie cool"
-know exactly how many cool aspie traits you've added so far~ (24)
-hope that your ideas for being aspie cool are truly considered aspie cool by other aspies reading the aspie cool forum
-to double check and proofread your posts before posting on WP for fear that one your aspie friends will correct and embarrass you...again XD
-feel extremely cool and full of oneself for posting in the "aspie cool" thread
-post waaaay too many cool aspects of aspie-ness on the aspie cool forum...

It's aspie-cool to come across some topic you know nothing about, have it pique your interest, and become a subject matter expert in said topic within a few days time.

It's aspie-cool to find beauty in things that others think of as mundane, such as the architecture of a building or the pattern of folds in a curtain.

It's been a while, but at one point in time I knew more about medieval Japanese history than US history.

Some excellent ones suggested so far! How about:

to know Pi to at least 10 decimal places.
to be able to often correct your teacher. When you are 7 years old.
to have no idea what is so *wrong* about a 7 year old correcting their teacher.
to know the geographical position, capital and flag of every country in the world - without having visited any of them (except one...)

Cool stuff. Especially knowing pi to over 1,000 places and being called upon by your NT classmates to give "pi-formances" from time to time.

Maybe, if you get around to doing it, post a link here for us oldies to come read...

It is aspie cool to..

contemplate your own personal view on the cure vs. acceptance issue.
contemplate your relationship to NT's and define for yourself how you see NT's.
