I've got a bit of a problem :S:S:S

It all started last week when we were on some sort of vacation in a "summer house" everything was so different and i was just happy when i got back to my room on the first floor... But then the "CHANGE" came... We had talked about that i should have a desk and some other things in my room instead of the other bed that now "used" to be there where im writing this message... We started the day before yesterday with cleaning some stuff out of the room I.E. some small chairs and a little multicollored "plastic drawer" and worst of all THE OTHER BED!! ! First it all seemed okay and nice but that night i just COULDN'T sleep at all :S:S:S yesterday we got the desk that now is standing here with my computer on it and now i just can't feel comfortable in my room... Everything is so different and there are other sounds than im used to im REALLY nervous and kind of affraid... Right now im just sitting in my chair rocking back and forth and staring at the computer while writing this...

CAN anyone help me figure out how to get over the anxiety and nervousity??? PLEASE!! !

i don't particularly like any kind of change myself, even when i've known its coming. change usually makes me angry though. but when i am nervous or anxious about sleeping in a place that is unfamiliar i put on some head phones, listen to some music, and find the one place in the room where i feel comfortable and sleep there, which means sometimes i sleep on the floor. maybe you could just get your parents to help you arrange the furniture so that you can find that one place in the room where you feel comfortable.

Just take it a day at a time.

When my family had the extension built on the house my room was one of the rooms altered. For about three or four months it was disrupted, at one point I had no wall or no window or no proper ceiling or flooring and there were strange people in and out of it, changing it's natural 'my room' smell and obviously vastly changing the look and layout.

To begin with it was very strange and I had trouble sleeping and settling into it...felt like I no longer had "my" room and "retreat".

But I just spent more time in it making it 'mine' again. Bring something that means a lot to you into a visible place in the room and that will help. Now my jem dolls are staring at me from behind glass and my My Little ponies are dotted all around the place, it's my space again.

Does take time, but you will adjust to it :) Just don't let it beat you!

I just really hope that i can get used to it as it is now... Because there is kinda no way back again :(
The room where my computer used to be is going to be some kind of "guest room" now... and that means that THAT room is going to change A LOT too now :(:(:(

I just dont know what to do now :(:(:( Im just sitting in my room "stimming" all the time and just "staring at my computer" :(:(:(

What kind of 'guest room' is it going to be? For like friends/family? Other than your computer was there anything special in the room?

Well yeah it's going to be for friends and / or family... and other than my computer there where:
Two other computers, my server, two desks (one a bit longer than the other), and yeah it was just "messed up" in some "nice" kinda way... :S:S:S

And now they're planning on putting the two desks at the windows and then put some "sleeping stuff" where the desks where before... also they are going to take kinda "everything" out of the room and just replace it with something else :S:S:S

I know vaguely how you feel about your room changing, as my room went through several changes when I was younger (sometimes with me not even knowing until I walked in the room), and I also switched rooms with my sisters a lot back then. I think applesauce's suggestion of putting things you're familiar with in your room might help, and another that I find works well is to perhaps change it yourself a bit, but in a way that you plan for yourself.

I find that changes tend to feel better for me when I feel in control of them, so decorating or adjusting your room to how you see fit might help you feel a bit better about it, and maybe even making up some rules for how your room should be treated might help. Not too long ago my drumkit got taken apart and completely rearranged (I'm left-handed, and it was completely reversed to suit right-handed playing), and I was really upset about that for a while. Eventually I learned to cope by readjusting the entire kit to suit my playing alone, and made up some rules of how everyone else should play it (basically, if they can't play left-handed setup, just don't play it at all :P ). I know a room change is a much bigger deal than a drumkit change, but I think this still might help. Of course, you should consider the changes you might want to make first, to be sure that you'll be okay with any further changes. I'm sure it wouldn't be great to make changes which only worsen things for you. Anyway, good luck, and don't worry, things will eventually start to feel better, whatever you do. :)

Lupine-Ragdoll's is definately a great suggestion. I've had to move a lot over the last year and the places I've been the most comfortable are where I could make it feel like me, even in a small way.

I had my own apartment and then had to move in with my sister and all of my stuff went into storage. I couldn't quite seem to find that comfortable place but I had some small things I'd bought just for my apartment and I put them out in my new room. It made me feel better about where I was, when I saw them on the dressers it made the room seem like mine.

Hey - just to clear out a few perhaps misunderstandings :)

When Jolger moved in, we had - besides the other rooms in the house - a guest room and an office with the computers; Jolger got the guest room as his room and also moved his PC together with ours at the office.

However now we have no guest room and we will not ask Jolger to share his room with guests, so the only other alternative was to change the office as a "guest room with computers" :)

To get Jolger a better working space - we set up a desk and his computer in his own room, also because his education will require more space - but personally I would prefer to have him in the computer-guest-room with the rest of us in the evenings :)
