There are different types of wool, not all of it is so scratchy, not that I am trying to change anyone's mind about it. The blankets they give you in Basic Training (I'm assuming about all the Armed Forces, but only know the Army for sure) are so horrible and scratchy. However something higher quality like say... Cashmere is actually very soft.

Anyway, my oldest boy does not like the ear buds, he says they hurt his ears. That seems to be in the minority here.

I have a big problem with jeans. Shoes and socks, too. They have to be even, and when I wear them, I can't help but be 'conscious' of them. I hate to wear anything on my feet. Blouses cut very low, as well, and mini skirts.

i always wear t-shirts and jeans..

i was just thinking about this today, because i have a new role at work i need to get semi dressed up for... i've been on a diet for the past year and a half and doing well for the most part but its also been a struggle, i lost a bunch of weight, but i still have a hard time finding dressy womens clothes i like (i tried lane bryant, i can find stuff that fits there easily enough, but i really hate womens clothes and how friggin LOUD they all are, ugh)

i just cant get comfortable in womens clothing no matter what i do

so i ended up buying a bunch of mens clothes. i think i look ok in them, hopefully others agree. i have no idea. i like to think i have a pretty good sense of style, i have a hard time translating it to my own wardrobe though... and luckily i work in a male dominated industry so i wont look too out of place i dont think, lol..

edit: i should probably add that i think other women look okay in womens clothes. i cant stand them though. :(

I have a big problem with socks and shoes, socks constantly irritate me and make me feel nauseous/suffocated, and it's almost impossible for me to find a pair of shoes that don't hurt or rub or irritate my feet in some way.

There are some fabrics I don't like wearing. I usually like wearing either long or short sleeve shirts (depending on temperature) preferably soft fabrics such as cotton or silk. I usually only will wear jeans that fit a certain way (tighter at the thigh but loose at the calve ankle). I only like wearing jeans. I don't like wearing shorts or tank tops in public. I do at home, depending on temperature. I don't like wearing socks a lot cus they can make my feet itch. I usually wear my crocs.

Oh, I have clothing issues to an extreme. I wear tights/pantyhose, 24/7...I even sleep in them. I hate, hate, hate the feeling of pants or just air touching my legs. It makes me crazy. Tights are the perfect solution as they provide a nice, soft barrier between me and anything else. I wear long sleeves year round, and when I wear short sleeves I must have a sweater or shrug to wear indoors. I live in texas so this gets a bit hot at times. I am simply uncomfortable if my arms are exposed while indoors. I can deal with it a bit better outdoors, but I still prefer to keep them covered. I am very picky about materials as well. I need them to be fairly soft or slinky. I tend to prefer knit cottons and stretchy nylon/spandex mixes. Microfiber is awesome! I absolutely detest the feeling of straight, stiff cottons, makes me a bit ill just thinking about it. As for shoes, I prefer slip ons so I can take them off easily once I arrive at my destination (ie, work). I much prefer barefoot (with tights).

I cannot stand hip huggers and will spend the day trying to pull them up where they belong. I also hate shirts that are not long enough and ride up to expose skin. I know a lot of this makes me sound like I have body issues, but I am totally okay with showing off a bit of skin on occasion. I am just not physically comfortable having the air, table, etc in constant contact with my flesh *shivers*.

And I'm not as new here as my status would lead you to believe. It's been awhile and I cannot for the life of me recall my old account name or password. Not that I posted much to begin with...

pants problems: I CANNOT stand to wear jeans. the seam where it joins at the bottom of the crotch is so thick it bothers me. It always has.

any coarse fabric. Or certain forms of polyester. BUG ME. Especially the kind of polyester used in traditional dress 'pant suits'

Dress/Skirt problems: I HATE dresses and I hate skirts. The main reason being, they do not cover my legs. I need my legs to feel covered. Ironically, I used to wear a lot of dresses and skirts, BUT at the time I solved the leg problem by wearing very thick soft tights, of a sort of cableknit cotton (not nylon) variety. When those types of tights vanished, I went to slacks and sweatpants. Some dresses/skirts I hate because of the way they are too tight and seem to restrict the movements of legs.

shirt problems: I HATE tank tops and will not wear them.
I also hate very large necklines or v necks. with my chestage, I don't want to be spilling out all over the place and I cannot stand for my shoulders to be uncovered. Also I cannot bear for my bra strap to show.
oh and blouses. I HATE blouses. I hate any shirt that needs buttoning up. usually the fabric is not very soft anyway, and feels like old ladies' clothes. Fabric like that should never be made into clothes.

Underwear issues: I cannot wear french cut, bikini cut, or especially not THONG underwear. Anything that feels like my bum is not completely covered feels horrible. And a piece of string up my aft is unbearable. I don't understand how other people can stand it.
I HATE lace. It ITCHES. If any bra has lace I cannot wear it or I itch like mad.

I have a very similar issue with socks and shoes. I went through a period where all I would wear were Birkenstock sandals, and I would take my shoes off as soon as I could, if I had to wear them.

I'm somewhat better with socks now, but there are only certain pairs that I like.

I would rather attack my legs with an orbital sander than wear tights! (or pantyhose if that's the term you know them by) I hate the feeling, and when I did try them they often make my feet raw and tender on the soles.

I love this thread, I would have said I have no clothing issues other than can only wear grey, dark grey, black, white and dark denim, but:-

I don't like the constriction of polo necks (plus they make me look like a Cluedo character). Jumpers sweaters and cardigans that are acrylic make me feel a bit sick when I touch them. ( I usually buy mens, or teenage boys school jumpers which you can find made in cotton or lambswool, i have a cashmere blend one I love) I've been converted back to higher brand jeans, the denim usually feels nicer, particularly in the "used" effect styles, I only like it when it feels like flannel.

Can't stand nylon-y socks they make me feel sweaty and they leave lines on my ankles, either have to be cotton or none (although i like fluffy microfibre bed socks)- shoes, well usually Vans, converse, Etnies or old school adidas (AmI allowed to say the brands?) they have bouncy soles. Despite which I can and do wear heels sometimes, as long as between 3 and 4 inch and louis or classic stilletto heel.

Feel "wrong" in a tight skirt, yet "unsafe" in a full one, so can only really do fifties dresses with the net underskirts (but I have to line the underskirt with well, another underskirt, to stop scratching by the net). Never above the knee though. I worry I'd fall or sit in the wrong way.

And if this wasn't enough, I have resorted to mens pyjamas, the old style button up cotton ones. At least I have been converted to glamourous (ish) ladies underwear these days, for a while I was wearing mens boxers. No-one ever saw though.

I tend to clothes shop by touch first! I walk around feeling fabrics and only when I find a fabric I can deal with, do I look at the style to see if it is something I would be willing to wear. My standard outfit is t-shirt, jeans and these awesome sketcher sandals I found years ago (I stocked up on them)!

I am with most of the other posts on shirts, can't stand tightness around my neck. I have issues with laced shoes, tightness is never equal and drives me crazy. I despise the current fad with women's t-shirts extremely short sleeves, they must be mid-upper arm or longer. I can't stand lace, nor can I wear bras with underwire, simple cotton or sports bras only.

When at home you will find me (99% of the time) in men's gym shorts and a baggy shirt.

My clothing issues:
No polyester, wool, or anything "slippery" or itchy. EVER.
I fluctuate between really loose clothes (for comfort) and really tight clothes (for the pressure).
No turtlenecks.
I must be covered from my neck to at least my knees to be comfortable.

Also, my dream would be a world where it is socially acceptable to wear entire outfits of flannel. It is without a doubt my favourite fabric.

Agree: tights are my absolute worst item of clothing. Not only can I not wear them, I cannot even touch them... there's just something about the material that makes me feel nauseous. Even looking at them for too long can make me feel like that.
