How do you cancel your account on here?

I went to account page and could not find it.

Anyone know?

Some sites have a deal where, if you don't post or log in within a certain time period, like, three months, the account gets cancelled. Does WP have that?

Alex Plank, the owner of the site does not allow deletion or canceling of accounts. Simply not coming back to the site will accomplish much the same thing. If one has a dependence on the site, one could change the password to gibberish, copy and paste the gibberish into the second password field for confirmation and promptly forget it.

No posts will be deleted unless they starkly reveal addresses, real names, contact information.

I apologize for not having this information posted on the rules or the Terms of Service, however that information is not modified by moderators, but only the owner of the site. We can certainly send him requests and observations by accessing the 'Contact Us' option at the top of each page. That email goes directly to the owner of the site, who is a senior in college and working as well.

thank you for understanding.

You can't cancel your account. Since almost everyone here has social issues, problems recognizing and connecting with people, understanding intentions, etc, identities here really need to be as consistent as possible. That's also why you're not allowed to create alternate accounts or change your name. Letting people cancel accounts would have pretty much the same effect-- inconsistent identities.

Not on WP. :D Just an idiosyncrasy of the site.

Too weird.

Probably wants to information to do a longitudunal study on us.

But untru about multiple accounts. I have 3 different ones: different genders and different personalities. I have never had any trouble making new accounts.

I might just make a few more to skewer the results of any study on us :-D
