I understand, but hypersensitivity can be very great, because I am very sensitive to touching, voices..........

I remember ordering in a restaurant and my cousin said that they way I was looking at the waitress was weird. That made me sensitive about eye contact.

People sometimes tell me that I am looking at their hair. The lady who diagnosed me said that I compensate.

Eye contact has a kind of intensity, like I am looking into the person and they are looking into me, which is great if it is a girl I am attracted too, there is something spiritual about it in that case.

If I am think consciously about making eye contact and look at the eyes, I feel I then fix on the eyes which might freak out the person I'm speaking to. If I go out of my way to move my eyes then like other people say it distracts from my focus on the conversation.

I find it difficult to make eye contact when I am upset or uncomfortable in a situation. When I know I need to make eye contact, I feel as though I'm staring, as several times while we are speaking, the person will look away. I'm not sure of the amount of eye contact vs. looking around there should be.

I will be affectionate towards a select few people, but even then I have to be the one initiating the contact or I feel uncomfortable. The initial contact is always startling, but there are two people that when I find out who it is, the comfort of their touch outweighs the initial startle.
