testing for Asperger's in East Texas

does anyone know of any psychologist or counselor in East Texas who tests for Asperger's? Or do I have to go to Dallas or Houston? Anyone in either of those places who is particularly good?

Dallas or Houston is your best bet. In these small east texas towns..... they "don't know nuthin" about AS.

I didn't know there was anyone else from East Texas here...hey guys! And it's good to know there's a doctor in Beaumont. Does she handle adults? I'll likely be looking for a therapist and I don't want to have to drive all the way to Houston -- about 300 miles round-trip and $60 in gas.

Anyway -- I went to Houston back in February for my assessment interview, then had my testing in May. The doctor was pretty cool although I felt kind of rushed. Her name is Katherine Loveland. It could have been pretty pricey -- 2-hour Assessment: $530, 4-Hour Testing: $1650. I got lucky in that my insurance paid for all of it but a $40 co-pay for each session (thank you Obamacare). She was pretty sure I'm on the spectrum based on my assessment, but I'm waiting for the official word via a summary report they're supposed to send me. It will be a month tomorrow, so I need to call next week and find out what's the holdup.
