I wrote earlier about a visiting childhood friend whose getting married and some of you guys gave me some good tips about what to talk about.

Now I've got some other worries.

I have major difficulties with eyes contact especially with strangers and people I haven't seen in a long time. How do I get that eye contact thing right without staring too long and making us both uncomfortable?

What do I do or say if there is a silence during conversations?

Last, what do I do or say when she and her boyfriend/fiance get all lovey dovey or start kissing in front of me?

Thanks for reading.

Try not to be too hard on yourself. Believe me I have similar problems, but the real problems arise when I place myself under severe pressure to do what I think others would themselves do. Only after realising that i am not like them, did I decide to stop living up to their standards. In all the situations you speak of, just be natural, and do what you normally do. Don't pressurize yourself. It just makes you more nervous and then you end up doing things even more obscurely then you normally would.

I hope this helps. I know what you go through, and it can really be tough. Good luck.

I look past their heads. From what people have told me, it's hard to tell I'm not looking at their eyes.

Watch some (relatively boring) films, you get the amount of eye contact required.
Your worry is what will mess things up, not the amount of eye contact. Just forget that it's really that important and maintain composure.
If they start getting "all lovey dovey" or start kissing in front of you, continue doing whatever you're doing.
All in all stay calm.
