I still collect toys, some just to have but others I do enjoy playing with. I'm 23 and it's not normal for someone my age to play with toys or love stuffed animals as much as I do, and I wonder if it's related to being an aspie. A few other aspies I've known have also liked to play with and/or collect toys, coincidence? Or are people on the spectrum more likely to hang on to childhood interests?

Stuff Animals! I have so many, and I still love snuggling with them when I sleep
That and Legos. I am a 17 year old girl, who still plays with Legos. Haha.

Love Legos especially if I'm trying to create some imaginary world with them

Do video games count? I love my nintendo ds. I don't have many toys (at least non-electronic toys) but I wouldn't pass up an opportunity to play with any I might come across.

I still have the old school kind but I left them back in Montana at my parents. I left my other toys there too I outgrew but I could never get rid of them so I held onto them.

I'm 41 on the outside.

I now have well over 30 play kittypusses
that I collected over a long time.

I carry a big Tigger with me almost
everywhere I go.

I have Legos, Hotwheels, I still pretend
with all the toys I have.

I don't see why I shood have to stop playing,
it isn't aginst the law, and I think even if it
did become illegal, I would just hide what I
do, I would never remember to quit, I just
could not, it isn't me to not play, it isn't me
to not do happy fun things, I have always done
them, I cannot stop, if I am forced to stop
I will become dperessed and probably self terminate.

This is who I am.

I say to all who love to play and have toys,
DO IT.

There is nothing wrong with it, there is no
"Not Normal" about it, it isn't against the
law in the US and as far as I know there are
not any existing countries with a law against
people past a certain outside age playing with
their toys.

I still eat candy and ice cream, I still stay
up late, and take naps in the daytime, it must be.

It is how I was built, and this cannot be
altered.

Does a wooden scale model kit for a supermarine british spitfire plane count?

I collect toys; I've loved them since I was three, and that ain't changing anytime soon.

We sell toys on my website, because I couldn't imagine doing anything else with my life.

Oh, and one of the biggest requirements I had with my girlfriend: at the bare minimum, she had to accept that they're pretty much my life.

Not only does she, she collects them too, so I'm good.

Oh, who cares what's "normal" at 23? Y'know what's normal? All the things you did in your mid-late teens; only now, it's legal.
