my father was a property developer. he is now retired.
my mother was like his secretary who collected all the rents from his blocks of flats, and she made decisions about what tenants would be accepted or evicted and what the rent rates were etc. she is not alive now.

My mom is a bar manager with a degree in Accounting. Her father was a bank accountant and almost certainly had AS. Arithmetic abilities and ASDs run on my mom's side of the family. My dad works at a sugar beet processing plant operating the machines in the plant; before that he was a trucker.

I'm not a math person, the same about my parents. My mom is a clerk by profession (she got a degree in accounting) while my father used to be a bus driver (I don't know him, I don't know what he is doing now).

My family doesn't abound in intellectuals of any kind, it consists mostly of representatives of middle - lower middle class. The older generation is just farmers. The most responsible and respected job any family member does, belongs to my first cousin's wife who works as a public prosecutor. There are mostly middle and low level clerks in my family, there is a ward maid, a policeman, a cleaning lady but there aren't any engineers, scientists, mathematicians and so on.

Father: Engineer
Mother: Executive secretary and teacher.

Lots of posts which include teachers! I had heard of the link to engineers, but not to teachers. Has anyone heard of this before?

Both my parent's were technical writers. They edited and compiled maintance manuals for things like: airplanes, secure satellite communications equiptment, missle systems on nuclear sub's, the space shuttle, helicopters, etc. Mainly defense type stuff in the begining, then as defense spending dropped commercial projects. Now my father has died and my mom work's at a chuch answering inbound calls to their prayer line and praying with people (this would be a hell job as I barely feel my own emotions so listening to everyone elses would drive me insane)

Mom was a primary teacher, bio-dad was a boxer.

I have a Digital Media Technical Production diploma, my son's bio-dad is a self-absorbed deadbeat.

My father is an engineer (however, he spend monst of his career in management and comercial jobs).

My mother is an elementary school teacher.

Against the stereotype, it is my mother who have autistic traits (socially reclusive, sensory problems) while my father is a typical people's person.
