Does any one here have a parent(s) with AS?

My Mom has Asperger's,too.My Dad is dyslexic and ADD.

my mom says she doesn't have AS, but i am sure she fits in the spectrum somewhere... my dad has OCD or AS or both

I would say both parents have ADHD. My mother has a son with another man
that has ADHD. My father has a daughter with another women that may have
asperger and/or ADHD. Meaning I feel I could have got genes from both parents.
My father side has some alcholism. My mother side atleast two people had
multi-Electroshock treatments.

my dad has suspected AS and he drives me up a wall with his lack of tact and rigidity My grandpa also has allot of AS traits as well. He speaks pedantically, is really set in his ways,is not very affectionate, and does not have many friends.

I'm fairly sure my dad has it. I wouldn't be surprised if my grandpa has it as well. None of us have ever been tested though.

My mother has sensory overload problems and social anxiety. My uncle, (her brother) is autistic. I think my father was bi-polar, or something similar, or something else very serious, but I don't think he was autistic or had Asperger's.

My mother also has sensory overload problems, anxiety and my father is dyslectic and has poor motor skills and is somewhere on the spectrum (my parents are undiagnosed). My sister has ADHD and I have AS.

My mum has some AS traits and i'm alot like her. But she's ok with socialising which if find much harder. Still we see the world in very simliar ways. My dad is very smart, but that's it i think. My wider family is quite strange in its own way so i can see where my AS night come from....Lets just say a lot of eccentrics!!

I am nearly certian that my dad has AS.

My mom is just crazy. (I haven't found a label for her, yet)

I'm sure my Dad has it-he has a "system" for doing all sorts of things, and really freaks out if it gets disrupted, has ony 3 interests-cornet playing, chess, and classical music-and often makes comments that others find hurtful and he doesn't understand why people get upset. He also tends to loudly remark about it if he sees someine wearing something outrageous-much to my mother's acute embarassment.

Thinking back, my Granddad may have had it too-he was a stamp colloector, and also had a fascination with the paranormal and Egyptology(and not much else.)

My mother wouldn't fit on the spectrum, my father has a few isolated AS traits but would never fit a diagnosis like myself, my oldest son and possibly my youngest son as well and their father is non-autistic.

My dad and brother both are diagnosed w/ ADHD, I think my dad also has OCD as well. I believe there were a few people on my dad's side of the family that were autistic.

I've never been evaluated for AS, but am about 90% sure I have it.
