Hmm - and I thought I'd have no energy to do this again today...

The only way that this factors into the Aspie VS NT thing is because some aspies are not afraid to ask why? And the way alot of aspies minds work drives them to figure stuff out. It is mearly a side effect. It is not because aspies are actually any better than NTs. Its not really about that. There is also ALOT of aspies who are just like NTs in the way they accept things as they are and never ask why?.

The whole problem in my perception of this is that there is never an acknowledgement of an NT's ability to ask questions. You do say that neither is better than the other, but I took this to mean something similar to, "Some Aspies, unlike NTs, are capable of questioning the world around them, but this does not make them better; it's just a side effect." I realize this is not what you meant, but it kinda looks like it (to me).

This can really get political pretty quickly, but I think it has to do with a combination of a person's personality and their intelligence. There is probably a higher percentage of free thinkers within the Aspie population simply because, almost as a rule, Aspies have above average intelligence.

I wasn't trying to say you were contradicting your other post, by the way, if you thought that. I was trying to say that the paragraph I cited here is self-contradictory and contradictory to the rest of your post in seeming to suggest - in the presence of the effectively meaningless (to me), "It doesn't make Aspies better ..." when interpreting it this way - that no NTs ask questions about things that happen. The contradiction would be that, in that paragraph, you (seem to) mark that they have less ability than Aspies (aka Aspies are better). One might argue that, in this situation, while Aspies have the ability to question why things happen, NTs have other abilities and that evens them out so it's not a contradiction, but my POINT is that it's simply not true that only Aspies can ask such questions, whether or not such an exclusive ability would make them superior. And there's no need to reply defensively, MindOfOrderedChaos, because I know now that's not what you meant. So you don't need to prove it; you already have. And I think people do know what you mean, MindOfOrderedChaos. I guess, regardless of how many mistakes I make myself, sometimes I get confused by semantics.

I wish I had not brought in the stuff about aspergers and NTs because it distracted from my point completely. I was trying to give the example that aspies appear to be free thinkers more. But this is more to do with communication and there response to conditioning in certain way. I do not think it is to do with the way that aspies have a high intellegence I accept that aspies think differently but I was trying to get across the point that I thought NTs (Most people) were actually capable of alot more meaningful thought that they are currently appearing to be having.

This is why I also posted another thread relating to the education system and how the system appears to be to just control people. I posted the information because once I had the realisation the NTs were not evil and not some alien creatures but just people who had been conditioned to not care and not think to deeply about any thing. People who had been conditioned to follow the rules and not to ask questions.

I have trouble with communicating and I am short on time.. I hope to come back at some stage a reread my posts and give proper replie. Maybe I should start the thread again when I have more time to try and get my ideas accross.

Asking why can be like pullling teeth, and I do mean here on this very forum
