I love to wear Retro clothing, like I have a pair of bell-bottoms and several paisley button up shirts. I suppose that means I dress like a hippy lol.

I only had to wear formal clothing once, for a try-out with an undertaker and aside from the near-choking sensation of having that last button on my shirt closed, I didn't really mind.

I wore a tux once. It was very uncomfortable, but that wasn't really the main problem.

I despise looking "nice." I will get irritable when my parents nag at me even when they just want me to wear a nice outfit during family visits/reunions/Xmas or Thxgiving get-togethers.

I love formal clothing. It brings me into a role, of sorts. When you're in a formal place, there's etiquette and defined rules and all of such lovely things. I like the look, too.

I like suits. They remind me of my father. He was a nice-smelling man. The fabric suits are made of are very nice to my skin. But I always wear my favourite red shirt under everything so it matters less how the torso feels.

I tend to loathe formal dress... constrictive, itchy, claustrophobia-inspiring, overly warm and aesthetically unpleasant. Of course, part of that is due to my size and build (18" neck, 39" arm, 48/50 chest, X/XXLong, wide shoulder, v-taper - the only reason I know any this stuff is due to the wedding having been recently) making it impossible to buy anything off the rack that has a chance in hell of fitting.

I love to wear formal clothes. I am one of the most formally dressed at work and it helps me give off an image of a formal professional person who is there to work, rather than a friendly casual person who is there to chat and make friends. This helps set the right tone for when i give professional and (mostly) polite responces to you, but nothing friendly or casual.

So i guess i use my clothes to set the expectation closer to what i will deliver. I love formal settings and i perform very well in them, so i want people to be formal with me, not friendly.

My attitude to formal?
"GET IT ORF ME!"

I'm prefer to wear something comfortable. Dresses feel really awkward and the material feels unpleasant. I do sometimes dress up but it feels so fake.

I love getting a chance to dress up!

I really can't understand why people would choose pants over a skirt or dress aside from the weather. I wear jeans and pants when it's cold, but if I know I'm going to be in a warm environment, or it's over 70 outside, it's a dress or skirt for me. So much less restrictive than pants!

I do have fancy dress pants and have been known to wear a tux (complete with top hat) at the Goth Prom, but I really prefer the freedom of a dress or skirt.

I don't necessarily count wearing a dress as dressing up. Sun dresses are very comfortable. I just like soft loose clothing.

What's your attitude?

I think its stupid to have to wear formal clothing because you are judged by the outside. Note the word in bold. You "look" smart. It doesn't mean you are.

Not too fond of it. Though some formal clothes are nice.

My usual dress style varies from 'Matrix' to 'grunge.'

I simply cannot wear uncomfortable clothes for any length of time...but I like attractive well-made clothes...as long as they are comfortable.

I like flowy dresses made of soft fabric...I really like the new "modal" stuff...that has been around.....i can dress up nicely in something made of that stuff...it is softer than cotton and usually stuff made out of modal is attractive enough...

I have always shopped at thrift stores for my whole life...and now that I am a little older, I go to a fancier thrift store where I can find nicer clothes for cheap..

I like the clothes line CP shades...They make really soft, really nice looking clothes that are comfortable and functional...I alwyas get it second hand, and they have a lot of stuff that is made of cotton and rayon velvet....I lkes that...though I often have to shorten their skirts.

Usually, ,my attempts at "dressing up" formally are laughable...and when I have nice clothes, I am often prone to getting gobs of paint or something on them...I am consigned to the fact that when occasions call for me to dress up, my standards are always gonna be different from those around me....

Also I have always been disastrous at wearing work uniforms...

Too bad there aren't more holidays like Halloween where you can wear things you wouldn't normally wear. There should be a dress-up day every month or something.

hmmm, are there any theater groups near you . . . . . .

I don't mind a uniform at work because it saves me the trouble of figuring out an outfit to wear.

I hate corporate clothes, pantyhose and blazers and shoes that kill. Going on job interviews is something I find SERIOUSLY uncomfortable, clothes is one of the reasons why. (Having to "sell myself" is the other big reason I hate it).

I'm probably in the minority among the men here but I prefer wearing a suit. It's about the only time I ever think I look acceptable. I feel more like myself sometimes when I wear a suit. Also, the rules for color-coordination are pretty clear-cut if you stick with the basic colors.

Of course, the key is finding one that fits and is comfortable to wear, which hasn't been too hard for me. I've been lucky in that most of the off-the-rack suits and dress shirts I've tried tend to fit me well without needing any tailoring. Some brands fit better than others, so those are the ones I prefer.

The hard part is finding comfortable dress shoes. The pair that I have are very comfortable and look pretty good, but it took a long time to find them and they cost more than one of my suits.
