I find the same thing about teenagers. They talk, act and dress the same. They also like the same music and TV shows. They seem like a bunch of robots, to me. Not much has changed, since I was in high school. The kids that I went to school with, were all the same way, as well. No wonder I have issues with young people. It makes me glad that I have a mind of my own.

Not so much the way they talk than the subject matter, it's always the same, this person did that and Celebrity X got caught in bed with Celebrity Y by Celebrity Z and now X is divorcing Z for Y. And you wonder why planet Earth is heading straight for hell.

I know what you mean but if you look close enough, it's not just teenagers who do this (& it's not just NT's). Sadly a successful society is based on working together and with working together comes conformity - robot like thoughts and actions, just to get along with one another and not cause chaos. You see what happens when a group of people start thinking for themselves, sometimes it's such a shock to the world and turns into a riot. I know that I hate it that people don't think for themselves but I think the world would be a lot easier if it stayed the same. The people who want to continue to follow others in everything can do so, which will be the majority and should keep things calm so the people who want to think for themselves can do so quietly without causing a fuss.
This is reality...or maybe just my perception of reality.

They not only talk alike, but look a lot alike to me. I always think the girls have huge teeth. Probably doesn't make sense to anyone else but I see it . . . huge teeth, pressed hair, artificial tans, and dye jobs. How can I tell them apart?

I used to call NT's "conformists". There are different types of NT's but those with the same personalities may congregrate together giving the impression of sameness. Another thing to consider is that NT's may have different personalities but similar interest whereas Aspies have similar personalities but varying interests. My clever teacher is a boring person but he knows all sorts of interesting things. His topics of conversation are more interesting than his own self. btw he was an engineer.

very well phrased. i essentially lost my faith in people after middle and high school because there were so many cloned sheep. just another example of how ordinary people can get away with moronic or even delinquent behavior while those who are not ordinary will never be accepted regardless of their actions. apparently teenage boys now speak about incomprehensible nonsense often using more profanities in one sentence than words that actually serve some kind of communicative purpose, even with adult authority figures. everyone talks about people with asd having repetitive actions, yet i see the same thing in most other people. the only difference is that the programmed robots we are referring to channel their stupidity into groups, forming some kind of collective idiocy, which is somehow labelled as rational and normal.

really? that is strange. difference usually does not bother me too much as long as the person is not being harmful. i understand your point on cooperation being crucial for completing a task, but i am not sure if i see such a strong connection between defiance, such as breaking a legitimate law, and using a different choice of words or not making eye contact. the latter does not directly cause any inconvenience. the misfortune is only for those who choose to create a mountain out of a molehill for no practical reason. in fact such irrational intolerance might be counterproductive. i think it is possible for one to be cooperative for good purposes without acting as if one were made out of a factory.

I found this link helpful in explaining why people often seem dumb in groups, but can be a lot more interesting if you give them the chance:
Other People Often Aren't As Shallow As You Think They Are

and this one:
Fun Mode vs. Serious Mode

(The whole site is very useful to learn more about successful socialising. It's the same guy who does www.datinggroundwork.com and I am impressed with his writing.)

If you put it like that, everyone is programmed like a robot.
But sometimes they are in "Fun Partying Mode" and that makes them seem illogical to me.

That site is good for people who want to be social.
But that is not me.
Because I do not like being anything but cognitive, it bothers me because it does not interest me.
But I should stop thinking that others should not do what they like to do because I do not agree with it.

That makes sense, Ursaminor. I like your distinction.
(FWIW, I'm not sure I agree with the "robot" thing, people all seem rather different to me in groups. Like, who the alpha is, how the others act about it, who is desperately trying to seem cool, who is really cool etc. They're just behaving as they've been socialised to behave, but within that frame they seem plenty different.)

That distinction. Between what you like for yourself and what you think others should do. It makes sense.

I noticed all this at a shopping centre at night. Seems all the teens were working everywhere and honestly they all just talk the same. That can't be good, and they say we're not normal? 8O

some points I agree with, some I dont.

What we need right now is such a huge, radical change that it will cause mass chaos. Humanity needs to be knocked down the ladder a few rungs. and believe it or not, the whole group mentality that you say stabilizes, is what is behiond the cause of much hatred and violence in the world (cough*gangs*cough)

I posted it in other topis, but it pretty shows NT-behavior

Day of the Mad (0:00-1:30)

Man is kind of Aspie and he tries to write a poem about King and Queen.

Fat mother: Ostatni! (Last!)

Girls:
- W nocy sobie śpię, śpię, śpię... (I sleep sleep sleep at night!)
- Ja też, ja też! (Me too, me too!)
- A w dzień sobie chodzę, chodzę... (And i walk walk walk on the day!)
- I ja, i ja! (And me, and me!)
- A w nocy sobie śpię, śpię, śpię. (I sleep sleep sleep at night!)
- Ja też, ja też! (Me too, me too!)
- A w dzień sobie chodzę, chodzę. (And i walk walk walk on the day!)
- I ja, i ja! (And me, and me!)
- No, śniadanie jem, jem, jem. (Oh, I eat eat eat breakfast!)
- Tak? Tak? (Really? Really?)
- A w sklepie kupuję, kupuję. (And I buy buy in shop!)
- Tak? Super! (Really? Super!)
- No, śniadanie jem, jem, jem. (Oh, I eat eat eat breakfast!)
- Tak? Tak? (Really? Really?)
- A w sklepie kupuję, kupuję. (And I buy buy in shop!)
- Tak? Super! (Really? Super!)
- Umówił się, umówił, umówił! (We had date date date!)
- Ja! Nie! (Yeah! No!)
- On tak całuje, całuje, całuje! (He kisses kisses kisses!)
- Ekstra! (Great!)
- Umówił się, umówił, umówił! (We had date date date!)
- Ja! Nie! (Yeah! No!)
- On tak całuje, całuje, całuje! (He kisses kisses kisses!)
- Ekstra! (Great!)

Man in his mind: I'm trying to catch ten seconds without speaking, but I can't. Or five. And each speaks 3 hours, 48 minutes. Together 11 hours, 24 minutes!
(rest is mostly vulgar, but it's about how they all are stupid)
