I've gone through life with great difficulties staying still. Even with stimulant medication (Concerta), I'm still moving 99% of the time. In bed at night, my legs and/or body often move back and forth. If not that, then at least one of my legs makes an off/on twitchy movement. Sometimes my body goes forwards and backwards instead of side to side. My fingers often twiddle at the same time as the body movements. Is there a way to possibly overcome this?

I dunno, you could try to just wiggle your fingers or toes so it's not such a big movement at least. I don't know how to stop entirely though. (But I really like how it feels to wiggle in bed. :3 )

Can you sleep with this? Or maybe you wake up all the time?

Depending on the night, I can fall asleep in an hour or sometimes it can take two hours or more. It's hard to turn the brain off to sleep mode. Once I fall asleep, I sleep fine without waking up until early morning. When I wake up, I'm wiggling again.

Until recently I could spend several hours each night rocking, kicking etc. etc. and also have a lot of trouble falling
asleep. Given a choice of sleep aids to add to the melatonin I choose clonidine as it had the least amount of side
effects. They said it would give me triple benefit as besides a sleep aid, reduces blood pressure, and autistic
behaviors.

Since starting a few weeks back I hardly rock etc. after taking it at bedtime. After several hours the desire to rock etc. returns.

PS I like rocking etc. other than not sleeping.

I have the same thing. I can never keep still and have difficulty sleeping.

As for something that may help I have seen some posts where people use weighted blankets, never tried them myself. Have you tried that yet?

In the morning my bed looks like a war zone.

Not really sure if I can offer any advice. Usually when I have more on my mind I move around more. Maybe some meditation would help?

I have that same problem, as well. I've given up sleeping between my covers. I just put a blanket on top of my bed, and sleep under that.
