One friend used to be sure it was called "Asperburger's".

I guess part of the reason this came to mind was because I was hungry, and the neighbors were cooking hamburgers!

Asperger and Tanqueray (they rhyme!) sounds like a specialty of the house mixed drink. As a matter of fact they should all be served 'on the house' any time they are wanted.

Ass-burgers are open flame broiled and available with chips on the shoulder.

So I'm not the only person to see that! The way my friend says it, it sounds a lot like ass-burgers, and I'm still trying to decide whether to point that out to her.

ass - burgers

well hamburgers are not usually made of ham or ass, but they are often made from the meat from the muscles around a cow's arse. It's the toughest most tasteless piece - after the hoofs, in my opinion.

English isn't my native language, so I don't do that association anyway. 8)

Although they do often misspell it in Sweden, because it's a German name (or Austrian, the laungage is German anyway) and in Swedish it sounds like Asp-berger. "Asp" is a tree and "berg" is Swedish (and German) for "mountain". :?
