Usually the first thing I do after watching a movie is to go online and find reviews and summaries and discussions about that movie. After reading a bunch of stuff I finally understand what's going on. I can't just leave it, not figuring out the plot or what's going on drive me nuts.
this sounds just like me!
sometimes i feel so stupid for not understanding things.
and the more complex the movie is. . .the more confused i'm left.
while other people understand the plot and find it amazing. . .i'm left having no clue what the heck is going on at all.
i also forget major plots in most movies very quickly.
i can watch a really good movie (iron man for instance). . .and just minutes after it's finished and people want to discuss it, i forget alot of the movie. i have a guy i hang out with sometimes who's a major movie buff. . .and sometimes after i'd watch a movie with him (or tv show) he'd be talking about something that happened in the show, and how he would've done it differently. but i have no idea what he's talking about, and don't remember the parts he's discussing.
i just watched the freaking film. . .why can't i remember this?
it's so frustrating.
so i don't watch films with anyone else anymore.
i do my best to avoid tv as well when i have to be with anyone else (like when i'm at my parents). it just gets too overwhelming.
does anyone else have problems forgetting major parts of movies. . .right after you've watched them?
it doesn't happen to me on all movies. but the only movies i can remember well are movies that have a significant emotional impact on me (white oleander and (lol) wall-e come to mind).
but i do love watching movies, but only if i'm alone. . .that way i don't have to deal with the paranoia of people hating me or thinking i'm stupid when i don't understand the movie, or can't remember most of it.
