Diseases/syndromes similar to Aspergers? Wtf am I? Help!
Hey guys.
When I was 15 I went to a shrink (government care) for being suspected for Aspergers, after a year of him testing my IQ and many other tests he ended up labelling me "borderline as" and told me I'm one of the mildest cases he's ever seen. Because it was so mild the conclusion was that I'm NT with traits, so I don't receive any carers allowance or anything of the such.
I'm not NT and am so different from them yet the difference is I can read them and understand them completely, my problem is what comes out of my mouth isn't what I'm thinking and I go blank and don't know how to reply to what people say so I end up using very general words that aren't specific.
2 of my friends (1 is AS and the other basically doesn't use emotions and breaks everything down with logic (there's a syndrome for this but i can't remember what it's called)) but they basically told me I lack empathy, and appear to be arrogant and shut out other opinions (but he's arrogant as hell, that's the logical bloke).
By my friends that know me best (I haven't told them of AS but have mentioned somethings wrong with me) they say I appear extremely sick.
They notice I l have no energy, I'm always leaning on something when standing up, close my eyes a lot, am very very very spaced out and they tell me I'm a very happy and kind person. They basically said the exact opposite of the other 2.
The friend with AS, treats me like crap, assumes the worst of me, judges me more than anyone else (If his other friends take his pen and snap it then I do it after/before them he doesn't yell at them but targets me). I don't know how I've given him that impression all I do is disadvantage myself to do him favours and he never appreciates it. I lend him all my guitars, shout him drinks, I've probably spent over $1000 on him in the last 2 years. I've never ever got aggressive towards him once, and he also seems to think EVERY opinion of mine is incorrect. Is that just AS? I don't understand how I could give him such a negative impression when all I do is go out of my way for him, involve him in everything we do, talk to him, help him out when he's depressed. I'm basically oprah to this kid. Yet he treats me like hitler.
These 2 are the only ones really who think negatively of me, everyone else just doesn't take me seriously.
Sorry that was a big rant. But basically I'be been told I lack empathy (not sure how reliable this is) and appear very very ill.
I also notice that all my impairments are held back by a lack of energy, I'm always dizzy, spaced out or fatigued and I can't stay focused because of it, this has also created incredible depression and anxiety for me. They're both very intense and ruining my life. My social skills are impaired but I know exactly what I'm doing wrong, I'm just so out of it that things don't pop up naturally in my head. I have to think about how to reply to almost everything that's someone says to me. 3 days or so in a year I'll wake up with more energy than ever and be on the ball, focused and my mates have made comments like I'm "alive" for once. I'm still not perfect but on those days seem to function better than some of them. My symptoms also change mildly almost every day.
Also I was perfectly normal and never had any issues in life until I hit 7/8 years old, after that I was THE most unpopular kid in primary school and one of the most unpopular in early high school, to an accepted individual by year 10, however not equal. I'm only have 4-7 friends that are true friends and remind of the friendships I had when I was a child.
I'm also very weird on msn and phones, it's always 1 line each, can't have a naturally flowing conversation on them.
Any suggestions on what could be wrong with me?
EDIT: Best thing to describe me as would be a robot, or a vegetable.

Let me ask you some questions:
1.) How do you usually dress? Do you dress simply? Do you dress laizily? Eccentricly? Do you have no idea what clothes look good and what don't? Or do you and just choose to go against the grain?
2.) When you say that the words coming out of you mouth aren't yours, can you elaborate?
3.) How do you mean you are a "robot" or a "vegetable"?
4.) Some people report feelings of "unreality" or a separation from the self. They often describe it as "feeling like paper" that everything is "2D" and/or "imaginary" (including themselves and their surroundings), it is nearly impossible to experience anything, and the often feel that they are going insane. Does this sound familiar? Is this how you feel in regards to question 3?
5.) Are you ever been accused of being "odd," "bizarre," or even "insane" by your peers?
6.) Do you ever find yourself feeling very paranoid, or been accused of acting in such a way?

Well after reading that ide say you could just be a bit odd, but if you have any condition you could possibly have a Slow Processing Speed. Now this can be a symptom of Autism, but it can also be a symptom of Attention Deficit Disorder (Ide look this up)
If you where 'completely normal' until around the age of 8 then chances are your not autistic, many autistic people dont even learn how to speak properly until they are around the age of 6, and even more autistic people simply choose not to speak.

I think (and no, I am not a doctor) that you need to look into food intolerances. You sound like you feel like I do when I eat wheat. The way to check food intolerances is a pain. You have to not eat wheat for two weeks, and then have a meal with it to see how you respond. Then you have to do the same thing with any dairy products (which means, as with wheat, very careful label reading. Wheat can be known as gluten, starch, grain vinegar etc. Dairy can be known as whey, casein, etc. Do not go to a naturopath who has you hold an electrode while they wave food essences over another electrode.

ADHD can lead to low energy, but some of the things she's saying seem to go a bit beyond, but there could be some situational things adding symptoms. I'd like to hear where Helicopters is going with those questions.

Likely shizoid personality disorder (or whatever the name is).

You know, I was trying to do a blind study here. But now that y'all are yelling out names of dx's I might as well just state what I was trying to figure out. At first, feeling as though the words coming out of your mouth could mean two different things: Tourette's or Depersonalization. Tourette's being very literal in the sense of yelling out things you don't mean to say, or Depersonalization in the sense that you feel separated from the language process (i.e. de-personalizing one's psyche from one's body). I was leaning more towards DP rather than TS with this short description because of the seeming confusion of how to explain what was going on with jametto, while TS is more outwardly noticeable. Anyway. DP makes you feel as though you are "imaginary" or "robotic" and the outside world often feels 2-D or made of paper. It is a separation from reality, however, those affected still have reality testing intact.
Now, this is a common symptom in Schizotypal (personality) disorder. Unlike Schizoids, Schizotypals show a great deal of anxiety in social situations. They often dress and act eccentricly and have strange preoccupations with conspiracy theories and/or the paranormal, or topics that otherwise go against the grain of the culture one grew up in. Schizoid, on the otherhand, do not crave or seek interpersonal relationships but also do not have the social anxiety of one with Schizotypal. Schizotypals are often paranoid, while Schizoids are not.
Schizotypal PD and AS are commonly misdiagnosed as each other. The key difference is that Schizotypy does not usually surface until early adulthood, but is not uncommon in 11-17 year-olds, and somewhat more rare in those younger (however, I started showing symptoms around 9). Hurray! So, you should look up Schizotypal, Schizoid, and Depersonalization Disorder to see if you feel any of those symptoms fit you.
HURRAY, psychology!! !

1. I dress rather lazily/to comfort, trackies with holes in them and a t shirt and jacket. My friend with AS dresses in woolen grandpa clothes to go against the grain. I just do it due to comfort. If I'm going out to a party or something I'll dress up well, shave and do my hair and all that.
2. Well I know what I'm meant to say, I just can't turn that into words, so similar (sometimes not relevant) very generalised words come out, like if someone asked me what I thought of their new car "I know it's freakin amazing and want to describe how awesome it is, but I'll end up saying "Yeah it's nice". Very non specific stuff like that.
3. I got pretty bad ecohlia (but since smoking weed), but and have been referred to as a vegetable (meaning as in I look very very ill).
4. That's crazy, I've described my vision as 2D for the past few years now. When I stop eating gluten and dairy my depth perception seems to return to normal.
5. One of my "mates" (the AS friend) told my other mates I'm a sociopath due to having no empathy. I am not even close to being a a sociopath.
6. I have been accused about worrying about things too much. If there's a minor risk involved I won't do it. But it's not like I don't play soccer cause im afraid of getting hurt or anything. He tells me I worry too much about about the risk of getting caught drunk driving so he says I should drive drunk things I believe I'm actually right to worry about. He lost his license for a month and just drove anyway risking going to prison, he doesn't really care about anything or understand the seriousness of anything. Also if he finds it ok he can't understand how someone else doesn't find it ok.
Gluten and dairy make me feel like this, although I've been on the diet for 3 months now and am not 100%, although I've shot up from 10% to 80% healthier I'm still fatigued.
I also find when I eat Gluten my senses get more sensitive basically, especially touch I can feel every little hair on my skin and I itch a lot. My lip tingles and I also don't feel comfortable in my own body.
Dairy makes me extremely stoned, my depth perception goes haywire and I space out for incredibly long periods of time.
One time at my house, i was sitting in the backyard with a mate and he said for 5 minutes my face was blank and I was staring at a tree and then said "that tree is so straight".
I later found out another mate put the wrong milk in my coffee (a2 milk doesn't affect me at all). Everything in nature becomes incredibly amazing and extremely extremely fascinating when I have milk. But only after not having it for weeks, if I drink it daily I get none of these effects and it just burns me out and causes stomach pains.

One thing, it doesn't sound like a healthy relationship. It sounds like the one friend is overdependent on you, resents that, and responds to that by being critical of you.
-----------------------
The general overall strategy is to be bridge people for each other to the wider world. And maybe responders here can try and work on some specifics for this.
