i don't mean to the store. or for example people who live in new York i'm not talking Bronx to Brooklyn. when you travel to a different state and or countries do you sometimes worry about things more. because next month on the 17, i'm going to take a trip to marrita GA. and since i'm going to be leaving form new York thats around a 1 day 6 hr trip maybe more going on bus. and since i don't drive i have my permit but i don't think that's going to be enough to get to rent a car. so i wrote down a few numbers for car company down their. ( i mean taxi services) going to call before i go to price. i booked my room already. the purpose of the trip is to go to kennesaw GA.
to pick up my sister she 19 but in a messed up situation ( she has mild bipolar and MILD. M.R and our stupid aunt Dianne is a complete ah thats making my sister feel suicidal.) so i'm going to save her. she knows of the plan and basically my sister going to be on the news as a missing person lol cause she ain't telling her aunt she's leaving. OK i'm going off topic is it odd that i think i'm going to act weird going down their i'm already worry that i wont have a sit near the window cause if i travel long i have to be next to the window. i'm gonna feel upset in moody that i can't talk to my boyfriend for and hr like we do everyday it will break my routine. and i hate asking people for help so thats another thing i'm going to have a problem about other then that my first time is going to be kinda okay i think. so is my plan a good plan to travel. or do need more advice.

I think that I'd have a very hard time. If I travel anywhere, I'm going to look into tour packages.

I'm perfectly fine travelling by myself. I actually enjoy it. I'm a glutton when it comes to 'me' time

I love traveling by myself, but I admit I've traveled a lot so it's not scary for me. I don't drive either, If I am armed with maps, so I always know where I am, and train and bus schedules, I feel safe and competent, and I'm good to go.

That's my advice: get all the maps and schedules you might need, make sure you have enough cash on hand (hide it in your bra or in a money belt), and a credit card if you have one, plus phone numbers of anyone you might have to call, including things like the car services, which you've done already. Preparedness definitely makes me feel less anxious.

And if you need a seat near the window, just show up early so you'll be near the front of the line.

I never get to travel anyway, but I can easily imagine myself being apprehensive over traveling by myself. I'm afraid I might get lost easily or miss my plane or something.

Traveling alone is no problem for me. I do it all the time. Having other people along just makes it much more fun

Either way traveling can be a stress. Other people just make it worse, unless its my husband who has learned to cope with me and my issues.

Even though your sister is an adult it sounds like that your aunt will think she's been kidnapped or something, so you should probably let her know because you don't want to waste police time if your aunt does report her as missing.

I've never travelled far by myself so I don't know if I'd find it hard or not. I do get lost easily but if all I had to do was get on a train and sit there for a couple of days until I reached my destination then I think I'd be fine with it.

It's not that difficult for me to travel by myself, but for anything longer than 2 hours of driving, it's more fun to have someone else who can share driving. Flying is fine, as I just bring a book and some headphones if the flight is long enough for a movie to be shown.

I completely agree with that. I actually love to travel, especially by myself to a place I've never been before and where I am certain I would not meet anyone I know.

Traveling alone is one of my favorite pastimes. As long as I have a GPS navigator it's cool.

traveling alone is ok, so I can take the experience of traveling in, be absorbed by it without annoying interruptions

I rather stay at home though

I had never dreamed of travelling alone...until my marriage broke up. Then I spent three months travelling around East Africa alone, and had the best time ever.

You can go where you want to go, when you want to, and never have to worry about compromising to suit someone else. I also found that it forced me to socialise, which became less and less uncomfortable the more I got used to it. It's good to get thrown onto your own resources and see how you overcome difficulties - so I shall be travelling alone a lot more in future.

That said, there are places I'd hate to go to alone - visiting big cities, maybe; anywhere that could be called 'romantic'. But when it comes to travelling around rougher places, there's nothing like it.
