I haven't had a "weird" special interest I wanted to try out, but I do want to try things out to see how they feel, such as the hair falling out. For instance, you know how the Bible says Jesus was given vinegar when he was on the cross (something to that effect)? When I was little I drank vinegar to see what that would feel like :? I would try out bits before I put them in my horses mouths to see how they felt. Stuff like that.

I live about a 45 minute walk from a games store that sells magic the gathering card game but I do not play. Have you tried looking for game and comic book shops in your area? Some of these stores sponser tournaments and will teach you how to play better.

Yea there's a comic shop near me that does host tournaments but I'm too much of a chicken to go.

Any ideas on how I might have close contact with wolves? That won't kill me? But will get close?

I'm unlikely to spend any time in a mental hospital, luckily. Or unluckily, you know, either one. Same goes for getting smallpox, though that's not technically a special interest.

I have a minor interest in prisons and law enforcement stemming from years of watching shows like Cops, Lockup, and Forensic Files. There have been multiple times where I've wanted to commit a crime just so I could go through the motions of getting arrested and getting to live in a prison, just to see what it would feel like. I think it would be interesting to live a highly-structured, highly controlled life where my basic needs are met. I think prison culture is pretty interesting too, what with all the tattoos, gangs and secret homosexual relationships. The possibility of solitary confinement and death row are also intriguing to me.

But the reality is probably much bleaker than I make it out to be in my mind - nobody actually likes going to/living in prison, so I know it must be really miserable there. Besides, the thought of living in a place where I would be deprived of my iPod and DVD collection is almost unbearable. Not to mentiuon the fact that me getting sent to prison would absolutely devastate my loved ones, and I'd rarely ever get to see them.

All in all, I think it's best if I never find out what experiencing my interest is actually like.

That's one of my dreams too - to see a wolves up close and maybe even touch them.

Kiley, I have thought about studying medicine a lot. Germs and things fascinate me. As well as things that happen to people, such as life long diseases or disabilities. I often wonder what it would be like to live with diabetes, or something like that. The worst thing is that when I was little, I used to want people to think I had something wrong with me so I would tell stories to my friends about how I had a particular "condition" such as the diabetes. I must have sounded like a twit because it would have been pretty obvious that I didn't have those things

Wolves are cool. Maybe you could go to the zoo to see some? There are some exciting sections in the "Little House on the Prairie" series of books where the house is surrounded by wolves or the little girls see wolves when they are outside playing.

As for Jail, the best description of a really hard time someone had in prison was in the book "catch me if you can" by Frank Abagnale. It's very descriptive.
