I swore I read on here that he was a probable aspie. and the more I learn about him, the more I think it's true. I can't seem to find anything on it though, but I do know that Gary Numan is definitely an aspie.

No way David is an Aspie - he's too original for a label like that :-)

I have worked with Gary Numan and I really liked him, I didn't find him arrogant or aloof, he even took my up in his plane (his special interest at the time)...

Now given since then I got an Aspergers diagnosis - what does that mean :-)

Perhaps being an Aspie is just tribal.

I think this way, like I have brown eyes and the sky is blue.

If Bowie ever claims he is an Aspie I'll go back to my original diagnosis of ADHD

Eccentricity =! Asperger's.

Jesus Christ, I am so sick of repeating this over and over again. You've never met the guy, you don't have the training to diagnose him. Stop armchair-diagnosing celebrities with Asperger's just because they're weird.

Wasn't Bowie officially diagnosed with bi-polar and prettymuch everything else under the sun? @_@

I'd rather stay here, with all the madmen

He has a half-brother who was diagnosed with schizophrenia (back in the fifties, so who knows what he really had).

No. His eyes are different colors because he got punched in the face when he was a kid and it ruptured something in his eye.

I love David Bowie. I have a couple of his songs on my iPod and I own the movie Labyrinth, in which he has an awesome role. However, I doubt he has Asperger's.

I've both read and have seen and heard in documentaries, he got punched and lost one of his eyes. He had to replace it with a glass one.

Odd, I always heard he got punched in the face so one of his eyes permanently dilated. And because of the difference in contrast with the big pupil, it by an optical illusion appears to be a different color. (He was a perseveration of mine at one point. One of my few famous people perseverations.)

I don't know if Jesus was an Aspie...

I never met him and I could only really have made observations if I did, I don't really have the training to diagnose him.

My diagnosis took hours and a lot of tests and even then I didn't entirely believe in it for at least a year.

I want you to know, we don't have an arm chair. I am sitting on a sofa.

Thanks

Mark

Ugh, I hope this is a joke post. If it's not:
Jesus Christ - A lot of people say this when they're annoyed. It has nothing to do with Jesus. And I don't think he had Asperger's, far from it.
Armchair diagnosing - Diagnosing someone without any sort of proper training

Clearly, both of his eyes are real. Especially check out 1:30, where he rolls his eyes back.

I don't think there is anything bad in speculating. People wanna know there are others out there like themselves and, if those others are famous and doing something successful, it makes us feel good.

I admit it is something I do, try to figure out of certain celebs are gay or have AS. It's interesting and it doesn't hurt anyone.

tis correct. he got into a fight with his friend over a girl.
Bowie told his friend that the girl had canceled a date with his friend. This was not true and the girl stood around for an hour waiting for his friend. He approached Bowie, socked him in the eye, and his friend's fingernail got caught in Bowie's eye. He almost lost his eye as a result of this. Bowie was happy with the end results because it attracted attention and later added to his cool, rock appearance. He was fourteen when this happened.
