I like to do that with the ring a cold drink leaves on a desk or table. I have gotten nasty looks from my boss for doing it during meetings.

I sometimes turn chandeliers into pendulums by bumping them. I like to watch them swing back and forth. Sometimes I forget I am not supposed to do it and I get in trouble for that at business lunches.

unfortunately the only time I sleep is when I focus on the sound the fan makes when I sleep. lol

Random thought, how loud are those Dyson fans? I saw them the other day at Meijer, but I don't think they were very loud...

Turning a full shampoo bottle upside down (with the cap on) and then back again over and over; looks like a lava lamp.

I used to have a shiny metal sugar bowl with a curved top that made really odd reflections, especially if you moved you head or hands back and forth.

I'm obsessed with condensation rings. My husband laughs when he catches me making patterns on the table with my glass. lol

Painting glue (Elmer's) or rubber cement on the palm of my hand, letting it dry, then slooowly peeling it off while trying to get the biggest sheet possible.

Slather, flense, repeat. :D

Who didn't do that as a kid? I took it one step further sometimes and told the kids around me it was my skin as I peeled it off.

I didn't lol But that's because it was a texture thing, I didn't like things on my hands. It's also why I'm very cautious while painting or anything that has to do with dirt, because I didn't like the feeling of the stuff stuck to my hand.

I like to make perfect smooth round balls with my gum. I also like to check the woods or the sky or the landscape around me for faces. I see faces in the bark of a tree, see them everywhere...not paranoid sense but more like an expression. In the car I like to look at debris on the side of the road way up in front of me, straining distance, and guess what it is ... I wish I could take a picture of it at the distance and label it...it looks like _____ but when you get up close it is a stip of rubber or a trailer or whatever. Then I would like to put the pictures side by side....caption: it looked like a dead ____, but really it was a piece of rubber.

personal secret fun in my mind

Me too. I like to look at license plates that are not personalized and figure out what they would mean if they were a personalized plate. Of course, I also try to decipher those personalized plates.

Yeah. I also love playing (well, trying to play) piano pieces where you have three parts to play, so one hand gets two separate parts. It's so damn difficult and exhausting (I actually get headaches doing it too long), but I'm so stubborn that I can sit at the piano for hours trying to get several lines right. Feels like running a mental marathon.

well then, i saw a demonstration of such multitasking when i saw organist cliff lenz at the console of the flentrop organ at st. marks cathedral [seattle] show off his chops by playing on the solo manual "the sailor's hornpipe" - on the accompaniment manual, "twinkle twinkle little star" and on the bass pedals "mary had a little lamb" all at the same time and in presto tempo. some folk have all the talent. wish i was one of 'em.

I like playing "hovercraft" on Google Earth. I like setting my viewing elevation to 20 feet, tilt the angle toward the horizon, and then move forward. It's fun going up and down over mountain ranges and diving through canyons. I've done it for several hours straight.

When I was little I used to like wetting the concrete driveway with the hose and then watching it slowly dry in the hot sun. I would try to guess how long it would take and set my stopwatch. Fun.
