No, I wouldn't care.

I wouldn't care, but that's probably good. I'm much more concerned about not caring about the death of someone I was supposed to love.

honestly, instead of them dying id wish upon them the fate of the characters, especially the last surviving one in the story, "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream". This would only be reserved for those I truly f*****g hate and despise, which sadly is most of the human race.

I honestly hate no one. I would probably care if someone I used to "hate" dies. Hating a person is really draining and pointless.

True, but sometimes you just can't help hating someone.

I would be annoyed, because then this person would be out of my reach and I couldn't do anything to tease them, to take revenge on them and stuff any more. And such a person's being alive gives me this opportunity.

You make a good point. Although I guess the ultimate revenge would be to kill them yourself :chin: but that would just get you arrested :shameonyou:

I've strongly hated only two people in my life and they're both dead now. Each time I was glad and didn't hide it. I don't understand some posts about celebrating that fact, I've hated those people and their deaths help me forget about them. Celebrating that would only strengthen the memories.

I was just thinking about this the other day. I don't tend to hate people, but there are people whom I don't like, based on their behaviour and how they treat other people, such as people who behave in a bullying or aggressive way. I would not wish death upon them, but I certainly wouldn't feel sad if they died. I would just accept that they were dead, and that death happens to everyone, and this time was their turn. But then, I don't tend to feel grief for many deaths - only people I am very close to.

It's a compound question, so I will give a compound answer: I don't have the excess energy to waste on hating anyone, so there isn't (and wouldn't be any such person). But hypothetically if I did hate anyone, I would not wish them death or suffering. I would just wish them out of MY life forever. There are plenty of people whom I strongly dislike, and even whom I'd probably enjoy slugging... But that kind of enjoyment comes back to haunt you later, in the form of bad karma.

Would I care if they died personally? No more or less than if a stranger dies.

Charles

My art teacher who once VERY annoyed me by accusing me of something I didn't do, got cancer and died, it was 6 or 7 years ago. I do hope she went through a lot of suffering before she died. I didn't do what she accused me of :?

No, I wouldn't care at all. Sometimes I'm even happy when some people I don't personally know die, like when a bull kills a bullfighter.
